Went to Formula 1 in Miami, had sky-high expectations, only to be completely let down from a service standpoint. There was a noticeable gap between what we anticipated and what we actually received. For the price we paid for our tickets, it should have been SOOOO much better. And I'm not alone in my disappointment. Check out social media, and you'll see the flames of discontent burning bright. Now contrast that to the Kentucky Derby, which I've had a chance to experience several times as well, which was also going on the same weekend. Churchhill Downs consistently knocks it out of the park, every time I've been they've gone above and beyond to exceed expectations from a service level. So, here's the million-dollar question: What are you doing in YOUR business to surpass your customers' expectations? It's not just about meeting them; it's about blowing them out of the water! Let's bridge that gap and elevate the service game in modern business. I recently had the opportunity to attend my second Black rodeo, the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo. This rodeo is named after Bill Pickett, a legendary Black cowboy who originated the sport of bulldogging. I was inspired to attend this rodeo after learning about the history of Black cowboys and cowgirls in the United States. Black cowboys have played a significant role in the development of the American West, but their stories are often untold. The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is a great opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Black cowboys and cowgirls. It is also a great place to see some amazing rodeo events, such as bulldogging, barrel racing, and roping. I highly recommend attending a Black rodeo if you have the opportunity. It is a great way to learn about a part of American history that is often overlooked. Here are some additional details about the history of Black cowboys and cowgirls that you may want to include in your post: Black cowboys have been a part of the American West since the early 1800s. They played a vital role in the development of the cattle industry, the railroad, and the military. Black cowboys were often segregated from white cowboys, but they still faced discrimination and racism.Despite the challenges they faced, Black cowboys were some of the most skilled and respected cowboys in the West. I hope this post inspires you to learn more about the history of Black cowboys and cowgirls. It is a fascinating and important part of American history that deserves to be told. #historymatters #blackcowboys

Cant blame ya, T! I did the sammmmmeeee thing. Secured the bag and shortly thereafter made a huge announcement to the world with my baby boy. The feeling of your firstborn is indescribable. Kind of like the reaction my wife and I had when I got a product hit out of a case with this 2021 National Treasures Trevor Lawrence 1 of 1 RPA 🤑 We're over here like,"...soooo...baby #2?!" 🤣 (For those of you who are either just catching on, or haven't quite paid attention yet...yes...the collectibles market has seen significant uptick in recent years. We saw a spike around 2008/2009...and then a "Covid Era" growth rate unparalleled by majority of asset driven industries. Once a childhood hobby, sports cards have become a necessary commodity in many investor's portfolios.) The card depicted in this post came out of a case of one of Panini 3 most upper echelon NBA/NFL licenced products, National Treasures FOTL (First Off the Line). At the time I bought in (close to, if not on, product release day) these cases were selling to the consumer market at premium rates of $28,000 and higher per 4 box case. Each box contains 8 cards, making a case only 32 cards in total. National Treasures boasts a significant portion of the top 10 most valuable cards ever sold. SPECIFICALLY, the hunt surrounds the infamous "Logoman" & "True" RPA (rookie patch autographs). With every card being serial numbered 1 to 99, there a limited cases released each year. 2021 saw a significant demand with 6 or so starting QBs being drafted first round. Some panned out and others have some work to do. In the hobby space, we call the process of determining which will be which early on "prospecting". Some of the names from that class include Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields, Ja'marr Chase, and many others. To no surprise, similar to athlete salaries, in NFL products you are soecifically chasing top QBs and T Law proved himself to be the top of his draft class. Another well recognized sales comp from the same product was Trevor Lawrence's NFL Shield 1 of 1 that sold for $336,000 by Goldin in August of 2022. Ken Goldin is far from a stranger to being behind some of the highest sales in sports collectibles and was nominated for an Emmy for his Netflix Series "King of Collectibles". Season 2 out now. 🫡 ⚠️📈📊STAY TUNED: Frank DiNote (the man in charge of private sales at Goldin) and I have been working on something for quite some time now that will be big news for TCA. As soon as semantics are ironed out...you MIGHT just see one of those before mentioned "Logoman" cards hit their premier auction soon. 🤫🤫🤫
Congrats to that man T-Law! First on his $275MM future with the Jacksonville Jaguars ... But more importantly on having a lil one on the way!!! Can't blame ya, T!...I did the sammmeeee thing....secured the bag....and very shortly thereafter had a big announcement for the world. 😇

The numbers don't lie, the 49ers are the champion - and Novogradac & Company LLP is the champion in affordable housing professional services. **Be careful about the promises you make after an AHTCC reception! 😉 What a beautiful day at Levi's Stadium with the sky starting off a Honolulu Blue but turning red and yellow along with the fate of the game. What a great season for Detroit. Whoever is America's team, Detroit will always be mine. 💙 #onepride

With the Kentucky Derby happening this weekend, I thought it would be timely to review the 2009 race. As a 50-1 underdog, Mine That Bird won the race over the heavy favorites Dunkirk and Santa Anita at 4-1 odds each. No one gave Mine That Bird a chance and yet the horse won against all odds. So, you may be wondering, what does a horse race have in common with investing? You have the same odds at picking a 50-1 underdog correctly as picking a dominant stock! Since 1926, 2% of public companies have created 78% of the stock’s market value as of December 2022. This is why we invest in the entire stock market because being right is hard.

https://lnkd.in/gtrXS76c In 2001, Bob Foxhoven, a visionary crew member, approached us with a bold proposal: to create the most legendary breaking event ever, sponsored by Red Bull. The notion of Red Bull, an energy drink synonymous with extreme sports, backing a breaking/hip-hop event, seemed far-fetched. Yet, it materialized in the most unforgettable manner, setting a new benchmark for breaking events worldwide. The event's success the following year raised the bar to new heights, surpassing any expectations within the breaking community. This experience was transformative for me, reshaping my career path entirely. Though I began my college journey as an engineering major, I quickly pivoted to marketing, driven by the events that unfolded. I launched and led an agency specializing in youth marketing with a focus on dance, which evolved into a 360 full-service marketing and advertising agency. Operating with over 20 full-time employees, I navigated both successes and challenges, learning valuable lessons about timing and the importance of valuing people along the way. Now, 23 years after that inaugural event in 2001, I find myself at the forefront of this project for Red Bull, the very project that altered the course of my life. I am tasked with the opportunity to reinvent and revive this legendary event in the most remarkable way possible. With the event looming on the horizon, my determination to maximize this project's success has never been stronger. I'm aiming to surpass the past, to recreate history. Let's see if we can make lightning strike twice. LFG, team! #breakingsince2001 #redbull #redbulllordsofthefloor
