Thrilled to be presenting at EDUtech Asia and representing KIS International School on the panel discussing “Fostering Cultural Change and Stakeholder Buy-In for Digital Transformation.” It’s an honor to contribute to the dialogue on how leadership can effectively navigate the complexities of digital transformation within educational institutions. My key takeaway: Success hinges not just on adopting new technologies, but on creating a culture that embraces change. I hope to see you there. #Leadership #DigitalTransformation #CulturalChange #StakeholderEngagement #EducationInnovation

Honored to have had the opportunity to speak at the Hwa Chong Institution’s Learning Journey event, where we had the pleasure of engaging with a delegation of leaders from their Executive and Administrative (EAS) team. Faeza Sirajudin and I really enjoyed the session with this group of motivated, articulate, creative educators! The objectives of this event were truly inspiring: 1. Adapting best practices from industries outside education. 2. Aligning Hwa Chong Institution's educational aims with the values, mindsets, and competencies of the 21st Century workplace. 3. Preparing their EAS to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving future workforce. During our session, we at Face The Future shared our journey as a start-up in Singapore, highlighting how we have activated our own 21st Century Competencies: Ø Using Critical thinking and Creativity for the solutions to address the unique problem we had identified; requiring us to to come up with our range of products Ø How we used our “Interacting with others” skills to collaborate and resolve conflicts; believing as we do in partnerships and win-win for all. Ø The importance of “Understanding the world” in its complexities through curiosity and awareness, given the diverse education ecosystem we need to address - from school leaders and teachers, to students and parents, globally. Ø Resilience as a key skill we are still having to exercise - both adaptability and persistence, to overcome the various challenges that startups face! Ø And finally, how we approached “Having Impact” exercising initiative and leadership. But it was no boring, didactic lecture!! The session itself was designed to be highly relevant to Hwa Chong’s goals and the EAS team’s culture and work. And it married interactive, gamified, and fun activities to illustrate problems we faced in our journey and the approaches we took! We are excited about the potential for future collaboration and the opportunity to contribute to Hwa Chong Institution’s vision for growth and development. Special thanks Khadija Attarwala for inviting us to this session. Looking forward to more such enriching collaborations! And I love the beautiful and thoughtful gift from HCI!! #LearningJourney #ContinuousImprovement #21stCenturySkills #Leadership #FutureReadyEducation

There’s sustainable finance, sustainable development goals and sustainable leadership…..and the concept of #Sustainable Learning! It’s fairly new. There are different interpretations and definitions. The one that I lean closest to is “learning that lasts” (Graham, Berman & Bellert, 2015): 🏃♀️ learning that takes place in formal education that has lasting value to the learner in future; 🏃 learning that encourages students to continue their learning journey as a lifelong learner Sustainable learning is achieved when students feel confident about the #knowledge, #skills, #dispositions and #values that they have acquired, and can apply and build on them as they continue to learn throughout their life. #pisa 2022 shows that Singapore is on the right track, but there are imbalances in some areas. We still need to calibrate. Everyone in the education ecosystem has a part to play.
