Whirlwind couple days as the United States Department of Commerce’s SelectUSA Investment Summit wraps up here in Washington DC. The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) is proud of how Team North Carolina - including our overseas FDI offices and two dozen partner organizations - showed up in full force to promote the state to this important audience of global companies. Special thanks to Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Machelle Sanders - along with Marqueta Welton and Lee Lilley from their teams - for taking time out of their busy schedules to join us this week for meetings and events involving prospective international investors in North Carolina. As a bonus, while here I got to speak at Duke University’s “NC in DC” program at their DC office (see the funny pic of the clock in their offices), as well as catch up with a good friend from my St. Louis days who happened to be in town for a meeting of the SSTI. #FDI #NorthCarolina #TeamNC
