Really interesting research commissioned by the Fundraising Regulator on the public's experience and expectations of charitable fundraising. Unsurprisingly people prefer indirect fundraising methods that give them more control, such as online giving and lotteries and prize draws. More direct methods such as door-to-door fundraising are less popular with 62% of respondents rating their door-to-door experience negatively. More surprising were the demographic trends, with younger people living in urban areas being more likely to trust charities. #FundraisingFridays
