The U.S. Oman strategic dialogue held in DC in April was an excellent opportunity to convene the parties supporting Eden's work on geologic hydrogen in Oman. Only something with as much power and potential as geologic hydrogen could bring leaders from the Oman Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM), the US DOE, Eden, and Newlab together. 🗻 ⚡ 💡 🌏 Thank you Yousuf Al Azri, Dr. Saleh Al-Saadi, Khalil Al Hanashi, Ph.D., Dan Milstein, and Sahil Jain for working with Eden. In July i had a chance to visit Russia and on that trip i met wonderful people from different parts of Africa and Europe. It was a press tour organised by #Gazprom a russian natural gas company that researches extracts, transports, liquifies and compresses natural gas and hence making it possible for everyone to have access to affordable clean energy, putting in mind that most parts of Russia have only 62 days of warm weather. It was interesting to learn that at the Yamal pennisula there is natural gas reserve that can last up to the next 100 years and is yet to be extracted. At the #gazpromdobyuchanadeem,#bovanenskove plant i had clear understanding of how research and development, people and technology synchronize. It was heartwarming to know that no amount of technology can replace humankind. To cut story short,we had experts and players from Energy sector from Africa too all in one purpose of learning and understanding how to push foward the agenda of attaining clean energy goal. Here is my short bi-lingual interview (Kiswahili Opening and closing) with Mr Michel Ussene of #Mitraenergy Mozambique, telling us about what he learned from the trip and how African countries with resource can utilize their potentials. https://lnkd.in/ddKpn5vF

In recent years, Taiwan has slowly but resolutely built a modest geothermal power sector 🙌. In a region dense with volcanic centers and hot springs, there is certainly great incentive to develop this potential to be at par with neighboring countries in the Asia and Pacific. With the successful Taiwan International Geothermal Conference 2024 #TIGC2024, we expect to witness a lot of action from their geothermal sector ♨️ in the coming years. 👏 #Taiwan #Geothermal #GeothermalNews #GeothermalDevelopment #ThinkGeoEnergyInterview

Looking forward to this session! I will discuss Early-Middle Jurassic regional volcanism and its impact on alternative source rocks of the North Sea. The talk will cover a portion of my PhD that would have not been possible without the collaboration with Equinor, The University of Texas at Austin, and Bureau of Economic Geology Swapan K. Sahoo, Lorena G Moscardelli, Eleni Panteli
Anything but Kimmeridge! – Alternative Petroleum Systems of North-West Europe - DS 6 @ EAGE Annual The TPC selection meetings have taken place in February and the technical program is now published on the event homepage eageannual.org. And again, Jean-Jacques and myself have a dedicated session on Petroleum Systems. After looking into Petroleum Systems in Central and Eastern Europe in 2023 at the Annual in Vienna and Petroleum Systems of the Mediterranean in 2022 at the Annual in Madrid we come back to North-West Europe where our journey started in 2021 in Amsterdam. This time, we try to avoid the words Kimmeridge, Late Jurassic, and any further terms which are associated with KCF equivalent source rocks. Please have a look at our great session-schedule, thanks a lot to all the contributors. And I am very happy to see contributions from Neptune Energy and Equinor! Visit us on Wednesday, 08:30-11:30 at the Nova Spektrum Lillestrøm / Oslo region. For me this is most likely the end of my PSA tour with Jean-Jacques as the Energy Transition requires more and more focus, especially in my new role. Looking forward to meeting you! Axel

The East Mediterranean Sea continues to provide fertile grounds for oil and gas exploration, but deeper geologic insights and technological advancements are required to aid in further discoveries beneath the complexities of the Messinian salt layer. The editors of an upcoming special section in The Leading Edge seek submissions that explore the complexity of the Mediterranean Basin. Authors are encouraged to submit papers that push the boundaries of our conventional understanding of petroleum systems in the Mediterranean Sea and highlight new technologies that bring insights and unlock further energy resources, paving the road to a sustainable future. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: -regional geologic understanding of the Mediterranean Basin and its petroleum systems -new technologies and their application in unlocking future energy potential -interesting case studies from the region Interested authors should submit their manuscripts by 15 April 2024 via TLE’s submission portal: https://lnkd.in/gsY7RdCp Information for authors: https://lnkd.in/g6PBHBqp

ESE recently conducted a Cultural Resources Investigation for a planned development in Sherman, Texas. The cultural resources survey was conducted within portions of a planned development potentially under the jurisdiction of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Our archeologist conducted an intensive pedestrian cultural resources survey, which included: a transect survey; intensive surface inspection; and shovel tests. Archival research included the study of recent aerial orthoimagery, review of nearby documented sites in the Texas Archeological Sites Atlas, and other reports of investigations from previous archeological studies conducted in the immediate area. Based on the results of the pedestrian survey and archival research, it was ESE’s opinion that no cultural resources will be impacted by the proposed development within the survey area. Learn more about our cultural resources capabilities below! 👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/gVZtQ62C #cultural #resources #investigations #north #texas #ese
