One of the many great projects by Geoscience Australia (#GA) and its partners. A similar undersea mapping project can be undertaken by Mineral Resources Authority (#MRA) with its partners such as National Maritime Saftey Authority (#NMSA) and National Mapping Bureau Branch (#NMBB) of the Department of Lands and Physical Planning (#DLPP). Such project needs to correctly map the topography, geomorphology, spreading centers, trenches, troughs, steaming grounds, volcano mounts and faults, amongst others. Such mapping will provide information about and give clarity to the geomorphological and geological attributes of our undersea environment. https://lnkd.in/g5XndJY3

The European Federation of Geologists is working hard to make sure the voice of #geologists is heard at a European level. 🩸 On the 6th of September, EFG hosted an insightful panel discussion titled "Fostering Public Trust in Near Surface Industries: A Path Towards Rebuilding the Vital Talent Pipeline Required for the Green Energy Transition." This engaging event took place at the EAGE Near Surface Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. The discussion featured four distinguished panellists and drew active participation from 26 attendees.
