⚡️ Exploring Innovative Solutions for EV Charging Efficiency! 🚗 A latest research delves into the future of electric vehicle (EV) charging with a focus on charger-sharing modeling. In a bid to address the growing demand for efficient EV charging solutions, this study proposes a virtual battery model for Electric Vehicle Parking Lots (EVPLs), considering uncertainties in arrival and departure patterns. By leveraging charger-sharing charging, multiple EVs can charge from a single EV charger, significantly reducing investment costs and optimizing charger deployment. Validation results indicated that virtual battery model performs comparably to scenario-based approaches while significantly reducing computational burden by 2.24%. Furthermore, it also demonstrates how charger-sharing charging empowers EVPLs to host more EVs, paving the way for increased EV penetration.
