🚨The deadline to submit your ECMWF Special Projects application closes on 30 June! 🚨 What is it? Special Projects at ECMWF are “experiments or investigations of a scientific or technical nature, likely to be of interest to the general scientific community”, with a duration of up to three years. Once accepted, you will be able to run your Special Project using ECMWF’s HPC resources.  🆕From this year on, Special Projects also have access to the operational European Weather Cloud service. Who can apply? Projects are undertaken in co-operation between several institutions, nationally or internationally, for the latter one insitution must be from one of ECMWF's Member States. How to apply? Please read our dedicated Special Project webpages carefully: https://lnkd.in/eG9AvjVy 1️⃣ Define your project, including its duration  2️⃣ Estimate your resource requirements: Your Computing Representative may be able to advise you on the amounts available 3️⃣ If you are interested in using resources of the European Weather Cloud, add a section outlining your intended usage to your application 4️⃣ Submit your application: via the Special Project request submission web form 5️⃣ Await the approval vote of the ECMWF Council, taking place in December 2024 🔶 If you miss the 30 June deadline, you can submit a "late request" and might be eligible to receive some of our limited “ad-hoc allocation resources” – depending on availabiliity.
