BIOM 2.2, HYGGE, & DANISH CUISINE IN COLOMBIA Recently, we introduced ECCO to local media and influencers at Oculto Restaurant in Bogotá, Colombia. The event was highlighted by an exclusive showcase on ECCO as a brand, complete with the unveiling of the cutting-edge BIOM 2.2. The concept of ‘hygge’, a Danish way of life, was incorporated to create a cozy and intimate ambiance – emphasising the importance of bringing ECCO’s Danish heritage and DNA to the Latin American consumer. We can’t wait to see what comes next!

YAY – RePURpose took home Plastprisen 2024! Well done 👏 Polyurethane, also known as PU, is used in a variety of products, including shoe soles. Despite the high value of PU compared to other materials, no efficient method for recycling PU has been known – until now. RePURpose has been successful in developing a method to extract the building blocks of PU so that it can be reused in the production of new materials. Thanks for the acknowledgement, Plastindustrien. We are proud to be part of the team – here’s to sustainable innovations everywhere 😍

25 YEARS OF ECCO IN AUSTRALIA   ECCO's first venture into the Australian market was via a head office located in the southern Sydney suburb of Kogarah. This small, very modest shared upstairs office space accommodated just the four company employees at that time. With positive immediate sales and strong growth projections, a five-year strategy for expansion was quickly identified and today, 25 years later, we have over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand in five states and one territory.    And we love it! We’re so excited to be here – here’s to the next 25 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

This week ECCO, ECCO Leather B.V., and at.kollektive made their debut at Capsule Plaza in Milan, Italy for Milan Design Week. With the multi-faceted, immersive exhibition Materials Matter, the attendees were taken on a journey to celebrate the formative role of material choices and their importance for shaping the future for design and innovation.   Showcasing and highlighting the versatility of leather and PU through an interactive workshop, participants obtained hands-on experience with ECCO Leather’s Organic Tanned Leather (ISO 15115:2019(E)). The exhibition was open to visitors – from seasoned leather experts to curious minds looking for knowledge and inspiration. The installation cleverly merges art, technology, and craftsmanship, and brings material and community together with participants invited to leave their own imprint on the materials. Wan Dek is Thailand’s official Children’s Day – celebrated across the country every year.   Our teams in Thailand took part in celebrating the new generations and replaced a day in the office with time with kids from the local communities. Together, they crafted pinwheels and pictures and – on the more serious side – talked about financial awareness to prepare them for making financially responsible decisions in their adult lives.   Thanks, team Thailand, for taking the time to celebrate kids and young people in your area. They are our future 💗

ECCO Golf has signed LPGA Tour star Alison Lee to our team of brand ambassadors. The Los Angeles native brings a wealth of talent and joins off the back of her most impressive year on tour to date.   Alison Lee's journey into golf was meteoric, going from college golfer to LPGA Tour player in just a year and a half, before featuring at the 2015 Solheim Cup for Team USA.   Whilst Lee is still chasing her first LPGA Tour victory, she has stepped into the winners’ circle twice on the Ladies European Tour to-date.
