165,000 square meters - that's the size of the largest distribution center in Africa. This site in Johannesburg is where the supermarket chain Pick n Pay stores its goods. To keep the goods fresh in the long term, the temperature over the entire cooling surface must be constant and uniform. This is no problem for the engineering firm AMC from Cape Town and the devices from manufacturer HC heat-Exchange. Together with ebm-papst South Africa, they installed just two rows with cooling units and AxiCool fans on the ceiling - one row less than planned. This was achieved using the integrated guide vanes, which enable them to master a distance of up to 45 meters. 30th anniversary of ebm-papst Slovenija d.o.o. Our location in Slovenia has transformed over the past few years from a small company with 60 employees into a site with nearly 500 employees. Significant steps in this transformation include becoming a facility for heat pumps and establishing the Heating Technology division, to which ebm-papst Slovenija belongs. In early June, we not only celebrated our 30th anniversary but also inaugurated a new logistics hall. The celebration was opened by our Managing Director in Slovenia, Aleš Poljanšek. Also present were CEO Heating Technology, Dr. Hannes Säubert, the Slovenian leadership team, as well as teams from Landshut and Mulfingen. Special guests included Marko Rupar, Mayor of Cerknica, German Ambassador, Natalie Kauther, representatives from chambers of commerce and trade associations, as well as business partners. The festivities included the logistics hall inauguration, a birthday cake, and a site tour. This was followed by an internal employee celebration.
