Early in my career: I wish I was invited to more meetings. A very short portion of my career: Cool, I feel so special being part of these meetings. Now: Sigh. This meeting better be necessary, to the point and over as soon as possible. Anyone else feel like this? #WGOC #HRstuff #timemanagement #worksmart #Zelistotle #meetings #careeergrowth #careerprogression #transportation #nowhiring #workhere #3PL #customerservice #loadbrokers #trucking #companyculture

It's my 7th Team Rotation since 2010. It's been 4 years of my Logistics team (one of 5 kinds of Teams (Innovation, Repair, Warehouse, Logistics, and Information Tech)). Day by day just like a Roller Coaster, it's full of challenge and CAN DO spirit. Some of it was impossible to reach out, but it was done. It took a long process that I called "MAKING and FITTING the HORSESHOE", it was a Rough Process, Shaping each person to meet the Target. Some It makes pain in your hand and Head. It is one of the Art of Human Development with no reward, and even Your Boss should not know about it (Don't expect any reward for it, just say it is the Service to make better people). "MAKING and FITTING the HORSESHOE" for me : 1. Recruit the Good Character and Personality. 2. Cek the Strength, Focused on it 3. Test the limits and Capabilities, and push them until You Feel them. 4. Coach and Recheck. 5. Give Them Space to Grow. 6. Try to make day-by-day happy Work but keep pushing. 7. Find your way based on your personality, anger is OK for some Points that You are Afraid of. 8. Give them a Sense of Urgency and Mitigation 9. Warning them of the "Danger Close" 10. Warning them about the Purpose of their Life and Target, and so Growth Mindset. 11. Keep praying to have good Luck. 12. Enjoyed the Process. And Celebrate every single achievement. The rest will be followed, Level of expectation, Initiative, Autopilot Mode, etc. #FindyourownStyletoMotivate #CelebrateSmallAchievement #MAKINGandFITTINGtheHORSESHOE

Nearly 3 years ago I began my adventure at Britvic as the Supply Chain Capability Manager. During covid, home schooling (as a single parent) with Teams calls to build rapport; it was a unique start. There was no handover or blueprint as the role didn’t exist previously, but I’ve worked hard as a voice for SC development. What an incredible period it’s been for me both professionally & personally. I’m super proud of what I’ve achieved, experiences I’ve had & the development & growth this venture has enriched me with. I’m leaving my role with the resources needed and structure in place to continue the hard work ensuring Supply Chain development is recognised and maintained. Some of my biggest learnings have come from the multiple diverse challenges that have stretched me in ways I’ll always be grateful for. It’s funny that as a Learning professional, I’d almost ‘forgotten’ that very often our most impactful Learnings come from places & times we least expect them. What I’m most thankful for about my time at Britvic is the phenomenonal people I’ve met, I’ve made deep, meaningful relationships & feel privileged to have met some very special individuals who I know will be life long friends. Very grateful and excited for my next chapter. I’m excited for the opportunities I’m yet to discover within my new role at Suntory #learninganddevelopment #growthopportunities #britvic #values #leadershipjourney #supplychainmanagement #stretch #proudmoments

#TigerTuesdays Only one player in PGA Tour history has won eight or more times at the same course. Tiger has done it three times at Bay Hill, Firestone and Torrey Pines. He knows those courses like the back of his hand. That's why he has been so successful. Warehouse managers don't usually have the same luck with their staff. Unless you have someone who has been in your warehouse 5 years (average warehouse employee tenure is 1-2 years), your team will not know the warehouse as well as Tiger knows these golf courses. Rather than making them suffer through trying to remember where each item is located, give them technology that helps them do their job. A good WMS will not only make them more efficient, but will reduce errors and streamline a new hire's onboarding process. #wms #ecommerce

Meet the RESCO Team Steve Monson Warehouse Worker Middleton, WI Question: Tell me about your role at RESCO. Answer: I am a warehouse worker at RESCO’s Middleton location. Q: How long have you been with the company? A: I have just completed my 28th year at the end of January. Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? A: I truly enjoy the people that I work with, as well as the cast of characters I meet on a daily basis. Q: How has RESCO helped in your career development? A: RESCO, for the most part, has been my career. RESCO has made me better at time-management, helped me improve my organizational proficiency, and helped me strengthen my inter-personal skills. Q: What are your hobbies and passions? A: I have several hobbies, which include coin-collecting, antiques, and building-projects. My passions would be outdoor activities, with hunting and fishing being at the top of the list. Q: What is something people don’t know about you? A: Most people would not know that as a young man, I was a very good ball player. I played in high school, home talent, and in the city league. I concluded this run with 10 years of fast-pitch softball. I played competitive ball in Madison from the ages of 16 through 48. Q: What is something you can’t live without? A: My family, of course. However, a couple of nice fishing poles wouldn’t hurt. Q: If you could be any movie character, who would you choose and why? A: Probably Superman, as I always wondered what it would be like to fly on your own.

I went on a rollercoaster ride last year at Bakken, near Copenhagen. It was one of the really (really) old ones, which to my mind means no turning upside down, no sideway motion, no dizzying dips, no spinning. In short: my kind of rollercoaster. This is where I say something fairly obvious about rollercoasters and emotions and how we don’t always get to choose what kind of ride we go on in life. This is all true, of course. But I have been thinking lately about the choices we do have. The space between stimulus and response, where we get to choose who we are and how we want to show up. Don’t get me wrong: it’s not that I always make a better or even good choice. But the older I get, the more it is clear to me that I have a choice. And that I often need to expand the space for choosing, even just a little bit, in order to know what I want to do. Here’s the thing. We can’t ever choose someone else’s response. Only our own. But in that choice is a latent universe of freedom, empathy, and love. That’s where I want to live. I choose that. https://buff.ly/3DrUbEB
