I was commenting on Mark Cruth's post last month around the personal rituals we all have in the remote / hybrid world a lot of us are lucky enough to be working in these days, what do we do as individuals to ensure that we maximise the benefits of this, but also look after ourselves? I thought that was a great question... For me these days (personally) there is a larger emphasis on my wellbeing, some solid routine and how I keep my work focus as well as take down time. I do this with time in the mornings to simply drink coffee, chill and quite often just stare out the window while being attacked by furry animals! (being awake early does not have to equate to working - I learnt that the hard way - and oddly, remembering this requires more discipline that I thought!) I have Gym/walk breaks during the day, I enjoy working from different locations for variation near my home in Southsea in Portsmouth (benefits of this are when you partners at #Atlassian like Stuart Bennett turn up out of the blue with great colleagues like Louise Miller - that was yesterday - and Louise can (and does) teach us all some great lessons around well being and it's importance, something she shares with many)… We are all different in terms of what our roles need, and what we as individuals need. At #Adaptavist we are privileged that this is encouraged, understood, prioritised and supported in many ways… stealing a little bit from Mark Cruth's angle here - but it’s a damn important message - great businesses and organisations need to ensure their people have the ability to flourish and look after themselves, but we also have to believe how important that is as individuals - better for us, our families and friends, better for all our companies we work for and better for our clients and I think the universe in general. Just saying.. thoughts? With a vision for growth and efficiency, ICONMA relocated to a state-of-the-art building; The new Premises will foster a more collaborative and productive work environment. Quite a significant upgrade!! Now, it's my turn to enhance my skills and elevate my game. After spending 15 months in the corporate world, I've experienced a multitude of mental and emotional states. Often, I've questioned if I'm stuck in a daily routine without any variation. This introspection has prompted me to find ways to make each day more meaningful and impactful by honing the skills I possess. With skill, I don't intend to imply that I learn coding, Design, etc. by allocating several hours during my workday to transition into a different industry. Instead, I've begun dedicating 15-20 minutes each day to delve into work-related topics for better comprehension, and reading online materials to improve my knowledge base and soft skills. This is something all of you can incorporate into your 40-hour workweek, and it will prove beneficial in the long run, as a close mentor of mine advised. #corporate #Iconma #content #blog #office #Corporatelife #contentcreation

Two weeks in & I immediately begin to understand how the values, cultures, ways of working & all the talent at @nortal create seamless experiences for individuals, governments & companies! 🎉 💪 Of course there is A LOT more to learn, but my experiences so far have been through & through positive. From the get-go, everything is centered around my skills, wellbeing & ensuring I can go at a pace that feels right for me. The focus on enabling talent to be in charge of their own growth & creating shared learning opportunities, has really elevated my onboarding experience & I am super excited for the next weeks! 😎 Too often do we still see inconsistencies with onboarding procedures & the 'can one size fit all?' attempts but really putting the focus on the employee experiences & creating tailored journeys for each individual, makes all the difference! 🤗 I might not know how exactly my role will unfold & develop over the next months, but I do know that I am in the right place to put my talents to meaningful use, develop new & existing skills further, & to be in charge of my own journey! 🍀 & after a challenging last 12 months or so, I am immensely grateful to be part of this new family so I thought I share this wonderful experience. 😍 😊
