As Pride month comes to a close, we celebrate the progress made toward inclusivity, equity and respect at DLC and in our community. As we reflect on this month’s celebration, let’s continue to foster an environment where everyone feels respected and valued year-round. In June, DLC showed our support for the LGBTQ community as we marched together at the Pride Parade. Additionally, two of our own employees took center stage during the Pirates Pride game night where they had the honor of throwing the first pitch. These events, coordinated by PRISM, our LGBTQ business employee resource group, were instrumental in deepening important relationships in our community and raising awareness and visibility of the lived experiences of our coworkers and customers. Let this serve as a reminder to celebrate our differences every day! Together, we can power progress both in our workplace and community.

As we celebrate Pride Month, let's take a moment to reflect on the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in our workplaces and communities. Embracing DEI not only enriches our environments but also drives innovation and growth. This month, let's commit to learning more about the experiences of the LGBTQ community, to understanding the challenges they face, and to taking action in support of their rights. Let's use this time to start conversations that matter, to share stories that inspire, and to build bridges that unite. Together, we can create a world where everyone is free to be themselves and where equality isn't just a goal, but a reality. #PrideMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #EqualityForAll

🌈 Pride Month! 🌈 As we enter week #2 of Pride Month, I wanted to share some ways we can show our support and celebrate! 1. Educate Yourself and Others: Understanding the history and significance of Pride is crucial. Take time to learn about key milestones in the LGBTQ rights movement, such as the Stonewall Riots of 1969, and educate others to foster a more inclusive society. 2. Create Inclusive Spaces: Whether at work or in your community, strive to create environments where everyone feels safe and respected. Implement policies that support diversity and inclusion and ensure that LGBTQ voices are heard and valued. 3. Attend Pride Events: Many cities host parades, workshops, and other events during Pride Month. Participating in these events is a great way to show solidarity and celebrate the diversity within the LGBTQ community. 4. Share Your Support: Use social media platforms to show your support for Pride Month. Share educational resources, inspirational stories, and messages of solidarity to spread awareness and encourage others to do the same. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
