As someone who has been using this tool since it was first introduced over a decade ago, I have been really excited about the new generation of the tool since I saw what the team was building. The tool will now: 1) Optimize the assortment to the space available on the shelf, blending schematic and customer data to ensure you have the right products on the shelf with the right holding power to meet customer needs. 2) Provide shelf layouts based on how customers are shopping the category, while maintaining key merchandising rules like brand blocking, automatically generated for all your store segments/shelf sets. 3) Allow scenario planning to understand the impact of adding new items or removing existing items, taking into account the demand transferability to show the estimated total category performance. These updates, along with the existing capabilities of the tool, will allow users to go from setting initial category goals to finalized shelf sets in about 2 hours - complete with Customer Decision Trees showing how customers shop the category. Customer-centric space-aware ranging at a localised level has always been something that seemed far too difficult/costly to achieve, and often just left up to a store manager to do the best they could with retail gut instinct. Space-aware ranges and planograms: A new integrated planogram tool optimises layout and facings, giving shelf-ready layouts based on customer behaviour insights. The tool automatically accounts for merchandising rules, physical constraints and local health and safety restrictions, ensuring retailers can implement planograms with confidence knowing they'll work seamlessly on the shelf. A streamlined, end-to-end process: The end-to-end solution increases efficiency by enabling collaborative input from multiple teams throughout the ranging process, saving valuable time and resources.
