In addition to running my own PR consulting firm, I have also been the GM of a non-profit travel baseball program - created in NYC six years ago to provide opportunities for all kids - regardless of economic status. Every year, the East River Sharks baseball program provides scholarships to kids from various parts of NYC who can't afford the cost of joining a travel baseball team. Many of our coaches are volunteers, and we rely on donations to keep the organization running and the kids on the field! Currently 70% of our players are on scholarship! This week, for 4 days only, we are raising money for our non-profit baseball program the East River Sharks! It is weird to post this on LI, but it is part of my world of work, and part of giving back. If you are corporation, we would love your sponsorship if you are looking for a worthy cause. Or if you just want some popcorn and want to send a quick donation (by the way the popcorn is awesome), then click the link below! We are using the funds to create two new younger teams as many of our players are now in high school and college. Need more convincing about how you can help... consider this... 2 of our players have gone to the show (SF Giants and AZ Diamondbacks) 30 of our players over the last 6 years are now playing in college. And, there are more players out there to help! #nonprofits #nonprofit #baseball #youthempowerment #youthsports https://lnkd.in/eBb6gphK

Today is #GivingTuesday, the annual global day of giving! You have the power to change the game – literally and figuratively. Softball is more than a game; it's a platform for empowerment, leadership, and growth. But the playing field isn't always level. Today, we're striving to change that narrative. Your donation will help expand our softball program, giving more girls the chance to stand tall on the diamond, learning life skills that go far beyond sports. Every child who desires to play should have a chance to play, learn, and explore baseball and softball. Yet, for many youths of color, opportunities to engage in these sports are limited by socioeconomic barriers. We're committed to breaking down these barriers. With your help, we can make baseball and softball more accessible and inclusive. Be a Game Changer! Your donation today isn't just a gift; it's an investment in futures, in dreams, and in the equitable world we all strive for. Let's give kids the ability to PLAY! Give now at baseballbeyond.org. #youthsoftball #youthbaseball #equityinsports #seattlenonprofit #youthsports #supportyoungathletes #diversityinsports

I want to make you aware of an organization that has helped over 1 million children worldwide to develop confidence, leadership skills and resiliency through playing Sports. The organization, Pitch in for Baseball and Softball (PIFBS), provides kids in under-resourced areas of the U.S. and over 100 countries the equipment they need to play these Sports. The mission is to eliminate barriers by providing equipment directly to leagues, schools, and organizations around the world who are most in need. As an Advisory Board Member of PIFBS, I have seen firsthand how this organization has helped children. Studies have shown that the majority of students who participated in these programs in the most current year tracked have improved attendance and GPA. Soccer isn't just a game - it's a powerful tool for promoting the wellness, social, emotional, and mental health of young people. By encouraging physical activity and healthy habits, soccer can help our young people lead healthier lives that not only improves their current well-being but improves health outcomes later in life. It's also a great way for young people to make friends and build social skills. By providing an outlet for stress and anxiety, soccer can boost self-esteem and help young individuals feel a sense of accomplishment, purpose, and belonging. Youth sports is essential in our community.
Soccer is at the heart of the America SCORES programming and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Playing #soccer engages kids through physical activity and instills strong teamwork and leadership skills. Every year, SCORES Cleveland impacts 2,000 through soccer and we could reach even more. Your donation, in any amount, gives #Cleveland kids access to soccer and key 21st Century Skills. Support our mission at https://lnkd.in/ggJfZytR

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE: 1.) TSU - I participated in Teens Speak Up with The Epilepsy Foundation to speak to congresspeople about upcoming issues that would effect the population of people with Epilepsy. 2.) AWARENESS - I coordinated an Epilepsy awareness volleyball game at Chapel Hill High School that raised money for The Epilepsy Foundation. We raised over $6000! 3) COACHING - I volunteered as a coach for younger kids learning to play volleyball. I taught the fundamentals to those aspiring to learn the sport I love the most.
