Fleets are going green! A new survey by Lex Autolease shows that fleets are expected to be operating solely on battery electric vehicles (BEVs) within the next four years. The survey also suggests that the government's decision to push back the end of sales for new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 to 2035 has not deterred the fleet sector's enthusiasm for electric cars. Recently, there was a report about #Seoul limiting #EV charging at public fast-chargers to 80% to limit the time they stay plugged in and block a charging station. Now, Electrify America is implementing a pilot program at 10 Southern California stations to increase turnover at busy stations, improving availability and reducing wait times for other drivers. - Charging stops at 85%: Once a vehicle’s #battery reaches 85% #SoC (State of Charge), the charging will automatically stop. - Penalty for loitering: Drivers will have a 10-minute grace period to unplug their vehicle. After that, they will be charged 40 cents per minute until they disconnect.
