✅ First full week back from my second parental leave. My cup runneth over in gratitude to the BAV Group team for sharing the load while I soaked up those baby snuggles. Grateful to Laura Jones for being my fearless champion. Thank you for paving the way and cultivating the best possible parental leave/return experience I could have ever asked for. Thank you VMLY&R for 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Motherhood keeps you on your toes. Motherhood crystalizes your priorities.  Motherhood flexes your empathy muscles. Motherhood is staying calm under pressure. Motherhood is adapting to the circumstances.  Motherhood is agility on steroids. Motherhood makes me a better leader, but don't just take my word for it. According to Bright Horizons, 84% of employed Americans believe having working moms in leadership roles will make a business more successful. Thinking about hiring a mother? Embracing Modern Parental Leave: From a New Dad's Perspective Three weeks into my parental leave at J.P. Morgan, I'm grateful for the support and policies that have transformed how new dads like me experience the transition into fatherhood. Big Change: Thinking back to my parents' time, dads had only a few days for parental leave. Now, thanks to JPM’s more modern approach, I've got a full 16 weeks to be with my family and bond with my daughter, Alice. Soaking It In: These three weeks have been about cherishing every little moment with Alice and Paige Madden. The team's encouragement to take the leave fully has been amazing. It shows how much the TDC team values not just the work we do, but our roles as parents too. Slowing Down: Amid the rush of life, these weeks have reminded me of the magic in slowing down. Every coo, every smile, and even the diaper changes—these are the things that matter. As I continue this journey, I hope more companies adopt these policies, making it easier for all parents to find that work-life balance. #Girldad

Returning to work after my maternity leave has been a unique journey. As a career-driven woman, I've faced concerns about leaving my child in daycare and wondering if I'm being a good mother. I've questioned whether my decision is the right one for my child and if the sacrifices are worth it. It's a common experience for women who go back to work after taking time off for motherhood to be overwhelmed with these thoughts, not only about their children and motherhood but also about their career break. In our pursuit of ambitious goals, we often forget to celebrate ourselves as mothers. Balancing motherhood and a career deserves appreciation and applause. Personally, I want my child to witness me as an independent woman, valuing self-worth and achievements. Rather than worrying about society's judgment, we should focus on doing what we believe is best for ourselves and our families. It's crucial to prioritize our own happiness and fulfillment while raising children and pursuing our careers. So, let's not be burdened by society's expectations and instead trust our instincts and make choices that align with our values and aspirations.
