🌻Support Your Friends 🌻 ☕️ I have a friend who started a food truck in Iowa. There's literally a light pink food truck scootin' down the rural gravel roads for part of the year delivering fresh açaí bowls to locals. How cool is that... 🫐🚐🌸 🤩My favorite people are the ones who stand up while most folks are ok with sitting down. She saw a need for healthy fresh options and off she went. 😎👸🏻🦾 🫶🏽The women who serve relentlessly in an attempt to see their creation come to life‼️ 🍗 Years ago we were servers at Buffalo Wild Wings. I was doing God knows what while she was paving the way toward entrepreneurship. 🚀 🧠 Small Businesses are the nucleus of the community so showing consistent support is important. 🙌🏿 🏙️ Sure, I get down with the big name coffee shops and cafes too. However, I believe that for the most part our dollars have a bigger impact when they're spent directly within our communities. 🏫 💕 Those same businesses are the ones who are supporting our kid's sporting events, clubs, and extracurricular youth activities. Let's commit to shopping local a little bit more this month and show some love for the upcoming Valentine's Day. 🥰 🧀 Facts: I make a delicious immunity shot but this bad boy set my jaw on fire. What better way to celebrate Easter than to have our very own Easter egg hunt? 🔎 🐤 The whole team paused work to take part in the hunt, which involved searching the office for a cream egg with their name on it, after which they were rewarded with a bigger chocolate egg. 🍫 Some took longer than others to find theirs but, in the end, there were chocolatey smiles all around. 😋 #easter #team #leadgeneration #digitalmarketing

Don't press play if you don't want to cry.... This is a beautiful film. An amazing representation of fatherhood, the ups and downs, trials and tribulations; the unspoken bond between a father and son. All captured in a touch over 2 minutes. Using the Nick Mulvey track is a masterstroke. It's great to see the positive representation of fatherhood captured so authentically, and acknowledgment that families today can have different parenting and working structures...but more importantly showing the role that many Dads want to, and do, play in their children's lives, with a nod to equal parenting and all the benefits that brings. Now this was created to shift porridge, and given that it's a healthy breakfast option I hope they sell cuploads.... but it did make me reflect on my work as the founder of the Parents Promise that we are given many (far too many) stories of separated parents (usually dads) who get erased by the second scene. In this ad the parents aren't separated - they're showing how equal parenting works - and that giving permission to a child to love and bond with both parents (over porridge) should be the norm, not something only some children are allowed. For a lot of separated dads they simply aren't allowed to be the porridge parent that their child needs. So, as well as selling breakfast oats if this changes just one separated family dynamic, in my book it's money well spent by Quakers. 🌟 Let's Shine a Light on Corporate Kindness 🌟 I had the privilege of witnessing something truly heartwarming yesterday. During my trip to Edmonton this week, I stopped by the Brewery District Shoppers Drug Mart. While waiting in line, I saw two homeless men approach another cashier. Unsure of what would happen next, I watched as the cashier greeted them with genuine smiles, offering each of them bottles of water and asking if they'd like "their snacks." To my surprise, she had a basket full of goodies tucked away under her till, a practice initiated by their manager to support those in need in the downtown core. As I left the store, I saw the men unpacking their "snack bags" with gratitude, which included a bagel and a bottle of Boost. Later that evening, I visited Cobbs Bakery for a fresh loaf of bread but arrived just after closing time. However, I witnessed something equally inspiring – the staff loading unsold baked goods into a van. When I inquired, they explained that they donate all unsold products to local food insecurity organizations every single night. In a world often filled with negative news, it's essential to highlight acts of kindness.
