Women who make. I discovered it yesterday. Women Make is a safe space for women entrepreneurs and makers. There, you can find support, feedback, help, share your journey, and celebrate wins. We need more initiatives and spaces like Women Make. I mean, not just big events where women are talking on stage, being pictured and tagged on social media. And we need more data about those initiatives. Like FeMake. FeMake gathered data on female representation in the maker community, between 2013 and 2018. Do you know more current initiatives like those?

One of the main reasons that pushed me to join Media Bodies | Influencer Marketing Agency was the team. Anyone who knows me, knows I have spent my career supporting women in business, today and every day of the year. So it is an honor to mentor and support the women in this picture. 🤩 There is still work to do in all industries and verticals when it comes to the workplace, the stats are still depressing. So what can you do to support women: Listen and Learn: Pay attention to the experiences and perspectives of women colleagues. Be open to learning about the challenges they face and how you can help address them. Mentorship and Advocacy: Offer mentorship or advocate for women's career advancement within the company. Support their growth by sharing opportunities for their development and promotion. Fair Division of Labor: Ensure tasks are assigned fairly and not based on gender stereotypes. For instance, women shouldn't automatically be expected to take on office housework or organizational tasks unless it's part of their job. Challenge Bias and Inequality: If you notice biased behavior or decisions, speak up. Creating a workplace culture that actively addresses and rectifies inequality is crucial for uplifting everyone, including women. All day every day! 🎉
One day isn't enough to celebrate these incredible women. As a team comprised of over 80% women, each day at Media Bodies is filled with moments of awe, appreciation, inspiration, and unwavering support as we all strive to make our mark as women in marketing. We're missing the incredible Natalie Turner in the picture, but every day is made better under the guidance of inspiring, empathetic mentors like her! Here's to creating more safe spaces for women to own their unique social identities and access empowering opportunities. Happy International Women's Day 💜 #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInMarketing #IWD2024 #MarketingIndustry #InspireInclusion #Marketing
