Following the Energy Summit in Abuja, during which we highlighted Mezovest's efforts in the downstream sector, specifically in LPG and CNG, Basheer Tosin Ashafa and I were graciously hosted by NNPC's Chairman, Chief Dr. Pius Akinyelure. Impressed by our company's strategic repositioning to efficiently deliver LPG and CNG to the last mile at the safest and most affordable rates, Chief Akinyelure expressed more than a passing interest in our model. He assured us of a mutually beneficial collaboration between Mezovest and NNPC Limited. I’m particularly excited about the potential of this collaboration for two reasons: the first is that Nigerians will pay less for gas. Secondly, and perhaps more significantly, it holds the prospect of revolutionizing the energy market, thereby substantially lowering energy expenses for both individuals and businesses.

FACTS ABOUT ACCELERATING AFRICA'S ENERGY TRANSITION! Africa’s energy transition topped the agenda at the recently concluded Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) in Abuja. As the world’s least developed continent, Africa is expected to be home to nearly 2.5 billion people by 2050. Eighty percent of them will live in Sub-Saharan Africa, where less than half of all people have access to electricity today, and as little as 16% have access to clean cooking fuels and technologies. The continent’s energy transition is a huge task and will cost an estimated $100 billion annually between 2020 and 2040. This article by Brickstone Africa reviews PremiumTimes publication on the need for accelerating Africa’s energy transition. This is clear . ...... '' For Africa, we need to focus on how we can be energy-sufficient in the shortest period of time to power our economies and improve the lives and livelihoods of our people.'' ....... ''I think Africa and African countries should focus on crafting energy-sufficiency plans rather than energy transition plans''

- My contributions and key #takeaways from my engagement at the recently concluded #NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition, Abuja Nigeria. “#Accelerating investment, #Enabling Industry growth and meeting energy demand”. - Nigeria’s #competitiveness as a resource investing jurisdiction largely rests on having the right #fiscal policies and #regulatory enablers to encourage domestic #gas investments to harness the vast gas reserves and incentivise #domestic gas supply and close energy deficit. - For Nigeria, the #oil and #gas production levels can be largely optimised if divestment and other gas related projects are expedited. - To attract a #diversified range of #capital, #Indigenous Oil Companies can position themselves to play a #significant role in #harnessing the country’s energy and #economic landscape, if they place good #governance, an #integrated business approach across the energy value chain, and #decarbonisation enablers at the heart of their business strategies and operations. - Accelerating #investments in gas projects to boost production, and related gas infrastructures would enable the country ripe the benefits of recent strides to boost output and #reinvigorate investor interest in the sector. - Thank you NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition organizers for a well rounded event with key #stakeholders across the energy sectors and opportunity to connect with leading experts in the field Ade Adeola, Oluwatoyin Aina ACCA, MBA, ACTI, Eric Monchu Intong Oluwole Adama and #opportunity to exchange dialogue on pressing matters to accelerate investments and #galvanize the Nigeria energy and economy landscape. #decarbonization #energyresource #gas #energytransition #investments
