Behavioral health point solutions are often built by founders with lived experience and intense passion. I keep hearing from them that they are pushed by payers and other potential customers to expand their clinical offerings to cover more types of patients. Here's my advice to you: Don't do it. The problem isn't your passion, your idea, product, or the company you've built around it. The problem is monolithic systems of care that cannot think or act nimbly to match the right patients with your excellent solution. At Reliant Medical Group, we are taking an ecosystem approach to digital solutions for BH; building a learning heath system that can match the right point solution to the right patients, in real-time. And, we're publishing on it. Foundational paper is out. Five are under review or in prep. Point solutions are great, while generalists are generally mediocre. The behavioral health systems of the future will be able to plug in high-quality point solutions, use precise data to identify well-matched patients, and initiate evidence-based treatments in 72 hours. Stay the course.
Digital health loves big platform plays, but often, “One Size Fits All” becomes “One Size Fits None.” What happens as apps scale to support more & more use cases? They lose focus, often serving no one in an attempt to serve everyone. Samuel Nordberg, PhD, Reliant Medical Group’s Chief of Behavioral Health, is leading a science-backed effort to fix this. Precision Behavioral Health is the approach that counters healthcare’s “Yet-Another-Giant-Platform-Syndrome.” Sam instead opts for an orchestra of interventions tailored to patient needs. Will another Epic save us? Let us know your thoughts on platforms & point solutions in the comments! Below is a clip, but the full discussion is at this link or wherever you get your podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eSnp8WZP Major kudos and appreciation to Behavioral Health Tech for facilitating this conversation! #MeetingoftheMinds #healthcareleaders #digitalmentalhealth

I am fortunate 🤗 because thanks to my work I get to speak with some of the most knowledgeable and forward-thinking people from the #clinicalresearch and other industries. On April 4th, I will get to speak about a dear topic to all of us in the community: #Diversity in #clinicaltrials. We have invited people who have pioneered including diverse, unrepresented populations in so many (I would also add unexpected) ways way before the #FDA guidelines came out. I am eager to share with you their experience but also thoughts regarding balancing best-performing sites with diverse patients. What can we learn from the past and what are some best practices today? ⤵ Use the link in the comment to save your seat for this webinar and make sure to send me your questions upfront. Whoever watched the previous webinar the Patient Feasibility and #decentralizedtrials with Craig knows what I am speaking about :) Just FYI Today I am recording a podcast episode that will reveal why one-third of America can't join clinical trials. Some of you will be surprised by the reason (I definitely was) so make sure to subscribe to the Trials with Maya Z podcast on Spotify or Apple too 😋 #diversityandinclusion #patientsfirst #siteselection #clinicaloperations #patientengagement
