Ever wondered about the incredible journey your morning #coffee goes on before it reaches your table? Did you know it takes from 40 to 50 berries to make one coffee shot? This post is ignited by my recent visit to the enchanting La Casa Grande Coffee Hacienda, nestled in the verdant hills of #Medellin, #Colombia. Medellin, often regarded as the heart of specialty Arabica, exudes an unparalleled charm, which resonates with every sip of its exquisite coffee. Did you know that coffee's story begins in Ethiopia, where its cultivation traces back to the 9th century? From its humble origins, coffee spread across the globe, shaping cultures and traditions along the way. In Europe, coffee initially faced resistance, particularly from religious authorities. However, its popularity soared after Pope Clement VIII famously tasted the beverage in the 17th century and declared that it should be baptized rather than banned, leading to widespread acceptance. In the Americas, coffee cultivation flourished thanks to European colonization, particularly in regions like Brazil and the Caribbean, where ideal climates and fertile soils provided optimal conditions for coffee production to thrive. Nowadays, Brazil, Colombia, and Vietnam reign supreme as the world's leading coffee producers, each boasting unique flavors and characteristics that captivate coffee connoisseurs worldwide. What's your preferred coffee bean origin and what draws you to it? I'd love to learn whom we have more, Arabica or Robusta lovers. #CoffeeJourney #FromBeanToCup #CoffeeCulture #CoffeeFacts

The Caturra Gem of Cầu Đất Nestled in the misty highlands of Cầu Đất, Vietnam, a unique coffee bean thrives – the Caturra. This variety of Arabica coffee is renowned for its vibrant flavor profile and delicate characteristics that reflect the region's unique terroir. Origins: The Caturra bean is a natural mutation of the Bourbon coffee plant, first discovered in Brazil. Its journey to Vietnam's Cầu Đất region is a testament to the global reach of coffee cultivation and the quest for exceptional beans. Cầu Đất's Influence: The high altitude of Cầu Đất (around 1600 meters), with its cool climate, fertile volcanic soil, and abundant rainfall, creates an ideal environment for the Caturra bean. These factors contribute to the bean's slow maturation, allowing for the development of complex and nuanced flavors. Tasting Notes: Caturra coffee from Cầu Đất often unveils a delightful bouquet of citrusy sweetness, reminiscent of oranges or lemons. You may also detect hints of floral aromas, a subtle chocolatey note, and a balanced, bright acidity. Rarity and Value: Caturra beans are relatively susceptible to diseases, making their cultivation in Cầu Đất more challenging. This, along with their exceptional quality, contributes to their higher value and somewhat limited availability. #coffee #arabica

Mexican chocolate is considered as a particular style of drinking chocolate which is common in Mexico. The origin of the word chocolate comes from xocolatl (bitter water), from the ancient Aztec language, Náhuatl. Before, the drink only contained cacao, water, and sometimes corn. Nowadays, it's popularly made with cacao, sugar, and ceylon cinnamon. It can be drunk every day for breakfast or as a snack - this is popular among children in Mexico. Mostly though, it is consumed around religious holidays like Christmas, Three Kings Day, and Day of the Dead. Then and today, cacao-based drinks are always present in any indigenous celebration. The most famous one being chocolate-atole, a fermented cacao drink that takes 5-6 months to prepare and is valued for its incredible thick froth. ☕THE HISTORICAL JOURNEY OF BLACK TEA❤️ Black tea, a familiar and seductive image on the tea table, has an interesting history. 🌍🌱 As tea culture spread worldwide, green tea took the spotlight in the export lists. However, during long journeys, green tea unexpectedly transformed into black due to complete oxidation. 🌿🖤 It was discovered that after the oxidation process, Black Tea not only retained a better flavor but also became particularly appealing during adventurous journeys. The name "Black Tea" originates from the black color of the tea leaves after undergoing full fermentation. 🌑☕ During the era of cross-border trade between China, Tibet, and neighboring countries, Black Tea was processed into cakes and became a crucial foreign exchange commodity. The Netherlands pioneered the introduction of Black Tea to Europe in 1610, spreading further in England from 1658 and becoming popular in British colonies during the 18th century. 🚢🌏 The peak period of demand for tea from Caribbean colonies ignited the tea market in the 1700s. Another significant event occurred in the 1800s when the Assamica Camellia Sinensis tea variety was discovered in India. This tea variety produced a rich flavor and intense aroma, especially in the Darjeeling region. 🌱🌄 From 1835, the Camellia Sinensis tea variety began to be cultivated in Darjeeling, India, near Nepal. Thanks to India being a British colony, Black Tea quickly became a popular export to England and other countries. 🇮🇳🌍 #zaamtea #zaamfarm #tea #blacktea #original #tea
