🎙️ Insights from the National Stammering CEN: Part 2 💬 Stephen from @the_stutterverse shared his journey, where he embraced his stammer and found beauty in it over time. 🌟 He talked about the daily struggle of hiding his stammer, and how attending the Irish Stammering Association and a residential course for adults changed his perspective. Acceptance and change, he said, go hand in hand, and being around others who stammer is key to this journey. 🌍 2022 saw the launch of The Stutterverse where Stephen shares his journey and connects with others. His message is clear: stammering doesn’t need to be fixed, and you can be an excellent communicator while stammering. This cabbage, which grew into a 40-pound marvel, became more than just a vegetable; it was the embodiment of a dream turning into action. Katie's decision to donate this giant cabbage to a local soup kitchen, where it fed 275 people, was her first step in realizing a larger dream. This act of kindness and vision bloomed into Katie’s Krops, a movement that would soon spread across the nation. Katie’s Krops, with its over 100 gardens in 30 states, is a testament to the power of a child’s dream and the impact it can have. Each garden, tended by young hands, is not just a source of food; it’s a symbol of hope, a lesson in empathy, and a practical step towards ending hunger. These gardens are classrooms where children learn the importance of giving back, understanding the power of community, and realizing that even the smallest hands can make a big difference.
