People with different abilities need an equal access to cities and buildings.....not just to remain mobile. Experiencing their sculptural form and artistic expression is equally important. I find this project a learning opportunity for architects and urban planners. https://lnkd.in/dEHujyhX

#GPMProjects | Religious structures often embody architectural and artistic richness, serving as focal points for spiritual and cultural practices. Beyond their spiritual significance, these structures often reflect the beliefs and values of the communities they serve. One of our social initiative projects, the Vaishnodevi temple's false ceiling, draws inspiration from the daily Atka Arti, featuring intricate engravings of the 'Shatkona' or the six-pointed star. Symbolizing the union of Shiva and Shakti, representing the divine synergy between masculine and feminine energies, this sacred design embodies spiritual harmony. #Vaishnodevi #Jammu #CulturalHeritage #TempleArchitecture #IndianArchitecture #CulturalDesign #GPMArchitects

https://lnkd.in/gHMjjMJS Very cool and interesting piece on 'feng shui' and how it directly shapes some of Hong Kong's most famous buildings. Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice that involves arranging your surroundings to create harmony and balance. It is believed that the use of certain shapes and placement in architecture can make or break the harmony in our environment.

Life on the Monsoon Gates ---Winner of Koozarch call for drawings june The mountains portrayed here are the peaks of the western ghats which play a significant role in the arrival of the monsoon, blessing the land with its beautiful ecology and celebrated by the architectural spaces that had evolved through it. The architectural drawing is inspired by the mystical arts and philosophies of the ancient East. It proposes the deconstruction of the experience in the modern city by adopting the perspective of the ancient East through a surrealist architectural space. The contemplation, analysis, and experimentation of these spaces could lead to new and meaningful ways of living and building.
