*1 Sam 17:1-11* *DAVID & GOLIATH - PART 1* The story of David & Goliath is arguably one of the most famous stories of the Bible & deserves not to be rushed through. It was customary that an army could choose a champion fighter among them to challenge the opposing army’s champion & engage in a one-to-one “winner takes all” combat. These champions became celebrities. On this location pottery had actually been found with the name “Goliath” inscribed. In leadership & culture we sometimes have crucial moments like this, which becomes a representative showdown that will win or defeat everyone’s moral, belief, understanding of culture, etc. There is a reason, why presidents who are leading a country during an active war often gets reelected. There is nothing like a common enemy to unite people. *Crisis breaks down silos.* This common fight can be a response to a situation or it can be a concerted effort or strategy. While it might not feel like it. *A crisis or “common enemy” can be a blessing in disguise to unite & strengthen your people.* #2024 #vision #crisis #management #leadership #creative
