The best way to set students up for success is to prioritize both academics and social-emotional well-being. For more than 30 years, The Akanksha Foundation has provided a high-quality education to children from all backgrounds — first through its after-school centers and schools and now through an innovative intervention program working with public schools in Maharashtra, India. By investing in educator training, cultivating community engagement, and focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional learning, Akanksha is scaling its model to impact more than 50,000 students. ➡️ Swipe to learn more

Why does SeekhShala exist? When the problem is not just a school that is neurotypical-academic centric but also insensitive to a community’s needs; not just a lack of safe-hygienic-equipped learning spaces but also ignorant of the job market trends and financial burdens; not just tired uninspired teachers but also zero trauma-informed learning; when the problem is not just that 57% of Grade 5 students cannot read a Grade 2 text but also that schools are designed to recycle students from low-income backgrounds into low income communities through low income jobs - when you can’t choose which of a hundred problems to solve in the school, the solution becomes to redesign “the school”. To make it accommodative of each child’s needs, to support the child from the day they step into the school to the day they have to re-enter the world, where privilege does not shield them from battles they must fight. SeekhShala seeks to be a redesigned ecosystem that envisions an adult able and capable of making free choices, unlimited by any restrictions their backgrounds may impose on them. Education is a paramount right everyone should get. I vowed that not only my own children, but no child should ever face the same hurdle. That's when the idea of the J.B.Ludhani Group of Schools was born. It was a dream come true, and seeing students thrive and pursue their education brings me immense happiness. #Education #School #JBLudhani #EmpoweringYouth #Dreams #EducationForAll #MakingADifference #FromChallengesToSuccess #NeverGiveUp #InspiringYouth #BuildingDreams #BrightFuture #EducationFirst #Students #CreatingBrightFutures #AccessToEducation #EducationalEquality #BreakingBarriers #EducationalOpportunities #Empowerment #TransformingLives #EducationMatters

Very impressive to read... India has one of the largest education systems catering to almost 25 crore children. Despite the scope and expanse of interventions, the issue of low learning levels persists. Only 21% of children from grade 3 can read grade 2 text and 26% of children from grade 3 can do basic subtraction. In Rural India - Over 90% kids aged 14-18 have used social media but only 43% know basic division. A concept actually mastered in Grade 3 (8 year olds) Over the last many years there has been no improvement in the foundational numeracy rates among the upper primary kids (Class V-VIII). 🔺What could be the reason behind this? - Low Attendence / Enrollment in Schools? - Teacher Quality not being adequate? - Kids don’t focus in Schools due to Social Media Usage? - Lack of Schools? - Pre Primary & Primary Schooling is not providing the solid foundational learning that’s needed? - Lack of practice of concepts taught in school at home? As far as basic math & reading are concerned, a comprehensive strategy for learning improvement, starting with basic skills, is urgently needed for the upper primary grades. #education #primaryeducation #statistics #educationforall #ruralindia

Learning is cumulative. And foundational skills such as basic literacy and numeracy are critical building blocks for future learning. Changemakers like Dr Rukmini Banerji—our 2021 laureate—are spearheading programs that ensure young children receive quality education and develop foundational skills in the early years. Led by Rukmini, Pratham Education Foundation focuses on implementing a play-based approach in communities in India—and working with volunteers and state governments to scale interventions. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀? A dream put on hold. Bringing these students back to school is good for the student, their families, and society as a whole. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀, 𝗨. With the help of ASI Renuka, counseling sessions were conducted for the families and all 5 children are now regularly attending the school. A regular awareness campaign will be conducted jointly for teachers, parents, and students about the importance of education. While bringing back dropouts is an ongoing challenge, the rewards are undeniable. By providing personalized support, addressing underlying reasons for leaving, and creating welcoming learning environments this can be achieved. Getting back students who have dropped out of school is important for promoting individual well-being, fostering social inclusion, and building a more equitable and prosperous society. Ever wondered why so many kids in India, especially outside big cities, lack the quality education they deserve? Despite achieving over 98% enrollment at the primary level, India faces significant challenges in retaining students through secondary and higher secondary education. Lots of children start primary school, but many drop out as they go further. The main issue is the lack of access to quality education for every child. Some pressing issues include: 👉Shortage of teachers, with many schools having only one teacher 👉Over 1/3rd of teachers are unskilled 👉Outdated teaching methods 👉Insufficient infrastructure due to low student volume in spread-out regions 👉Poor teaching effectiveness These challenges are urgent and require immediate action. To address them, Shikha Shiksha Sansthan, with the technical support and teacher resources of Cyboard School, is transforming education for underprivileged children and uplifting rural education. To serve society and benefit the larger population, SSS is working with government schools, NGOs, and CSRs to create an entire educational ecosystem. With highly effective live online classes, enhanced teacher pedagogies and highly skilled teachers SSS ensures that every child receives quality education, regardless of their location. In order to solve this problem, a holistic solution needs to be provided which includes:- ✔ Direct Online LIVE FEED From Expert Teachers ✔ Curated Lesson Plans as Per Children's Learning Levels ✔ Teacher Alignment ✔ Mix of Physical and Digital Remedial Sessions Shikha Shiksha Sansthan is providing a holistic solution where we aim at making all these children grade competent. This is the only solution to achieve democratization of quality education at the minimum possible time. #EducationForAll #RuralEducation #QualityEducation #EducationalEquity #OnlineLearning #EdTech #TeacherTraining #DigitalEducation #ChildEducation #EducationReform #InclusiveEducation #EmpoweringCommunities #CyboardSchool #ShikhaShikshaSansthan #CSR #NGO #LiveOnlineClasses #HolisticEducation #EdTechInnovation #Indianeducationsystem #educationsystem #problemsineducationsystem #problemsineducation #onlineducation #onlineschooling

TAKE NOTE ‼️‼️ 📍 BASIC simply means forming an essential foundation, starting point, or fundamental. 📍 "While EDUCATION simply means an enlightening experience." 📍 "BASIC EDUCATION simply is essential/fundamental/starting point of an enlightening experience that equips an individual to be able to engage first with himself, others, and his environs" With the above clearly stated, It won't be out of place to say basic education is meant to be accessible to all especially Persons with a disability; regardless of disability form. It's a Fundamental right to be enlightened as a Citizen with basics to ease communication amongst others. It's saddening to see young persons(especially PWDs) not being able to communicate in a common English phrase. Let's take educational policy and reforms from words to actions 📍 To be continued‼️‼️ #FundBasicEducation #science #education #learning #school #motivation #students #love #study #student #science #knowledge #teacher #children #college #india #covid #kids #university #learn #business #teaching #success #instagood #community #teachers #instagram #technology

Education increases inequality. The more your family owns, the better education you get, and you can start earning a lot very early. Less your family owns, poor education you get, you struggle even to start earning. That's how it happens if education is a commodity. What do you think? How can we eliminate it?
