Student data is vital for understanding transfer students' needs, but because many data systems don’t “talk” to each other, it can take several weeks for schools to determine whether a student needs specific services or support. To overcome this challenge, a team of education and tech experts in Michigan collaborated and, leveraging the Ed-Fi Alliance Data Standard, created a powerful solution.

Most districts don’t realize the importance of capturing the value of that data and storing it in a central repository for seamless and easy access. This data is important if any issues arise so that you may have specific documentation to be able to hold parties accountable.
