This is so exciting - the UK Department for Energy Security & Net Zero has introduced a process utilising the Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator in order to accelerate #sustainable #innovation within commercial settings. The programme has two primary goals: 1. Provide support for innovative energy efficiency concepts. 2. Cultivate scalable solutions capable of driving the decarbonisation of the industrial sector. The potential impact of such a project is massive, with the Carbon Trust estimating 40.5 TWh of energy could be saved by 2031. The innovations expand past energy into other #ESG territories as well, such as wastewater treatment and low-carbon multi-component cement. It's brilliant to see both private and public bodies coming together to further a shared goal. #NetZero is a global mission that requires cooperation - let's hope we witness similar initiatives across the globe.
