There’s a quote that reads: “Ambitious women have two options - a supportive partner or no partner at all.” One of the most captivating stories of the Olympics was the relationship between Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband and biggest fan, Hunter Woodhall. He was just so excited to see her win. Having a supportive spouse who shares the load in all things plus truly wants to see you succeed, is a game changer. #olympics #womenwinning
Support is EVERYTHING! I cannot get enough of these two 😍
I absolutely love this and I too am blessed with a very supportive partner. I’ve always hated the saying that behind every great man is a woman. Behind? How about beside? We all need champions. We all need to beloved and supported. As someone who’s almost 60 I’ve seen a lot in my life already. Not everyone is meant to, nor wants to, partner up. But if you do, the biggest decision is the who? To go through life in an intimate partner relationship with someone who doesn’t support you and is your biggest champion leads to so many negative outcomes. if a young person asks me for advice on relationships, I will tell them not to settle. That does not mean you don’t compromise or that everything is perfect. To be able to find someone that truly wants you to reach your potential, and you want the same for them, is a wonderful match.
Finding a life partner who loves the essence of you is a precious thing! I’ve been fortunate to have found such a person who wants me to be the best version of myself and I want the same for him. Love is a powerful force that helps us to be more, to do more, to achieve more! Let’s commit to loving the essence of ourselves and the essence of those who are part of our journey!
Can't wait to see her in the stands shouting in support when he takes the field in a few weeks. <3
So true. I love this couple and the support they have for one another along with the incredible Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Her husband also incredibly supportive. https://www.nbcolympics.com/videos/sydney-mclaughlin-levrone-finding-true-love
And when you lose that spouse to death, we need others to be that champion alongside us- Modern Widows Club 🙌🏼 7 out of every 10 married women become a #widow.
So true. No way I could have had the career I did w/o my amazing and supportive husband.
Love this quote. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to the day when a husband showing this level of support for his wife isn’t so newsworthy.
This year will mark my 25th anniversary with my spouse. He's been my biggest cheerleader and motivator and has stood by my side through my journey from corporate citizenship to entrepreneurship. The ride has been that much sweeter with his unwavering support. ♥
