The U.S. DoD is now deploying SAFF to remediate #PFAS from contaminated groundwater through a 2-year contract with Allonnia. #PFAS is all over the news (See my recent comments in CNN Underscored: https://lnkd.in/grc5jrzU). PFAS cleanups became more urgent last month when the EPA imposed a new rule requiring water utilities to reduce contamination if levels exceeded 4 parts per trillion for certain PFAS compounds. Encouraging update: a new strategy has been developed to clean up PFAS, particularly those originating from decades of fire suppressant foam use at military air bases and commercial airports. The method can also help water utilities deal with groundwater pollution.
