🚀 Last month, the Year-Round team was hard at work preparing empowerment bags for the Career Ready Early Scholars to kick off the summer program! 🌟   The Career Ready Early Scholar Program (CRESP) offers middle school students in the District a chance to dive into career exploration. This week, the Marion Barry Youth Leadership Institute (MBYLI) has kicked off its 45th year welcoming over 400 young leaders to our Summer Intensive Training (SIT) program! 🌟 Youth leaders participated in a comprehensive orientation and started their training. Here’s what they’re up to: 🔹 Alpha Level: Personal growth and development 🔹 Beta Level: Community development 🔹 Delta Level: College exploration and preparation 🔹 Omega Level: Life skills, career exploration, and internships Our MBYLI Youth Government members are gearing up for an election year with civic engagement training, drafting platforms, and lobbying for votes. 🗳️ The Global Kids Program has also started its cultural inclusion training, with 5 participants heading to Costa Rica for a global capstone project. 🌍✈️ Stay tuned for more updates on our incredible youth leaders!
