Six rows made up of thousands of clamps are being installed along the entire wall of each of the CRL tunnels to house leaky feeder cables. Leaky? Well, the cables are ‘leaky’ because they do in fact sort of leak. They leak, or emit, radio signals along their entire length – allowing for two-way radio communications inside the tunnels, along with 3G, 4G and 5G coverage for commuters. Once the team has finished, around 40 kilometres of these cables will run inside the tunnels. EV Charging Requirements (NCC 2022 Section J9D4) As you're probably aware, there are minimum requirements for your new and refurbished builds relating to electric vehicle charging equipment. Buildings require electrical distribution boards dedicated to electrical vehicle charging coupled with the capacity to support the delivery and monitoring of the minimum power specified in J9D4 (2). Time-stamped energy data collected from EV charging must be centralised in the same user interface as the energy meters from other individual loads on site.
