DBS and he are partnering up to galvanise youth to believe in themselves and pursue their aspirations, even if it means taking the path less travelled.
The four-and-a-half-year partnership was announced ahead of Maeder's debut at the Paris Olympic Games.
Maeder is currently a two-time and current world champion kitefoiler and an Asian Games gold medalist.
The partnership is part of DBS' commitment to work with its stakeholders to spark change and make a positive impact.
During the interview, Gupta has made Maeder see how his humble efforts in kitefoiling relates to the bank's culture.

Amundi, the French asset management company, has extended its title sponsorship of the evian Championship, one of the major tournaments in women's golf, until 2030.
Amundi has been the title sponsor of the Evian Championship since 2021, initially committing to a five-year deal. Their latest commitment extends this sponsorship until 2030 and has led to a significant increase in the event's prize money for 2024, which will now be $8m.
In comparison to other women's golf majors:
- The US Women’s Open has the highest prize money at $12m.
- The Women’s PGA Championship has a prize fund of $10.4m.
- The Women’s Open’s prize fund stands at $9m.
- The Chevron Championship's prize fund is $7.9m.
This extension and increase in prize money highlights Amundi's strong support for women's golf, enhancing the prestige and competitiveness of the Evian Championship.
Franck Riboud, chairman of the Amundi Evian Championship, said: “We are delighted to see Amundi continue its commitment alongside us as title partner of the Amundi Evian Championship, serving the development of women’s golf worldwide."

Four young Africans were announced as the latest Ambassadors to take part in Dare To Lead’s social responsibility initiative - credited with ‘changing lives’ through participation in a tough global challenge.
The Dare To Lead initiative was created by Dirk van Daele, a financier involved in green technology and fintech, after he participated in the Clipper Race back in 2009-10 and saw its powerful effect on inner-city youth from the UK.
