One year after moving into their Sydney headquarters, Vocus continue to embrace workplace innovation. The challenges of owning and operating a 25,000km fibre network are balanced by a workplace that enables every employee to focus on their customers. Our primary goal was to support Vocus to operate at their best in this mission critical environment. In a reversal of conventional workplace wisdom, Vocus assigned one third of their Net Lettable Area to spaces dedicated to co-creation. This generous approach continues to encourage face to face collaborationand acknowledges that less and less work is taking place at a workstation. We are proud to see the workplace of this Australian owned company performing the way it was intended to, and the project narrative, 'simply brilliant, with every fibre’, alive and well after 12 months. I came across this on a company's website "Hybrid workplace We want to make it easier to work seamlessly across locations and to use technology, processes and space in a way that is better for everyone – colleagues, clients and the planet. The emphasis is on defining how to get the best from you, rather than defining where and when you work." Is this: 1.Innovative. 2.Bonkers.

Unlike the traditional work model where employees showed up at the office solely for a paycheck, today’s workforce is driven by a desire for careers with impact. To stay relevant, offices must foster teamwork, accommodate diverse work styles, and embrace both physical and virtual collaboration tools. Making strategy simple | Founder @Nextrday | Co-founder @This is Valid | Independent board member & advisor | Sustainable scaling | The North Face, Invisalign, Reuters
I enjoy working from various locations. It allows me to interact with a diverse range of people and broaden my perspectives. Initially, I worked mostly from home, but after some time I chose to try something different. My workplace can now vary from the dynamic environment of co-working spaces such as Hubbz Offices, where I enjoy work working with my colleagues Liane van der Krogt and Ramon van Kessel, to clients’ offices and offsite locations. I also love to work on the train and abroad in places such as London, Paris or Switserland. This variation in workplaces creates a unique setting that makes my work varied, different from everyday life and interactive. Do you change work environments often? And where do you like working from the most? #Nextrday #marketing #branding #strategy #gotomarket #transformation #innovation #businessgrowth #sustainablegrowth #growth #scaling #hubbz

Employees understand the advantages of gathering together. To fully leverage these benefits for both the employees and the organization, the workplace must offer spaces tailored for their intended activities. This includes areas for collaboration, meetings, socializing, and mentorship, as well as quiet zones for focused work. #officetrends #officedesign #workplacestrategy #designwithimpact #millerknoll #workplacedesign #turnkey

By improving engagement through well-designed workspaces, people strive to excel and succeed. Creating a workplace environment that is tailored to support this aspiration is key to fostering a strong emotional connection with employees. The nature of work has become less predictable, with tasks becoming increasingly diverse each day. Therefore, it's essential for workplaces to offer a range of spaces optimized for different activities. The first step is identifying zones where both groups and individuals can concentrate, collaborate, and rejuvenate. For instance, incorporating enclosed touchdown areas alongside individual workstations in an open layout provides dedicated spaces for focused work with minimal distractions. Similarly, offering formal conference rooms for planned meetings, coupled with supplementary meeting spaces for spontaneous discussions, encourages greater collaboration.
