What are we but a speck of dust... I recently had the pleasure of reading "In Love with Death" by Satish Modi, and it was an experience in itself. This book delves into the profound and often overlooked aspects of life and death, encouraging readers to live more meaningful and fulfilled lives. Satish Modi's reflections on mortality and the essence of our existence are both thought-provoking and inspiring. The book urges us to appreciate the preciousness of life and to make the most of every moment we have. "In Love with Death" is a reminder that our time is limited, and it's up to us to use it wisely. It's a call to action to live with purpose, love unconditionally, and leave a positive impact on the world. I enjoyed the perspective of 2 dozen odd individuals who dealt with the concept of death in their own unique circumstances ranging from losing one's daughter to waiting for one's own end. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of life and a fresh perspective on what truly matters. It's a journey that will leave you inspired, introspective, and in love with the beauty of life and the inevitability of death. #InLoveWithDeath #SatishModi #LifeLessons #BookRecommendation

❣️Being deeply moved by the poignant and candid book "WHAT TO DO WHEN I'M GONE," co-authored by a mother and daughter, I found myself reflecting on its profound message. This touching narrative beautifully delves into the immense change and transformation a daughter undergoes after her mother's passing, offering a glimpse into the emotional journey and providing guidance for those challenging first days. The book's humour, honesty, and genuine advice have left an indelible mark on my heart, igniting the spark to craft a similarly heartfelt narrative. In a world where discussions about mortality often remain unspoken, "WHAT TO DO WHEN I'M GONE" compels us to contemplate how our departure will impact the ones we love. Inspired by this newfound awareness, I am driven to pen my own narrative, aiming to leave a legacy of guidance and love that will provide solace and support to my cherished ones during life's most difficult moments. 🌸 "WHAT TO DO WHEN I'M GONE", a book I am dying for you to read!" #WhatToDoWhenImGone #BookRecommendation #LifeReflections #LegacyBuilding #EmotionalJourney #GriefAndLoss #FamilyLove #PersonalNarrative #LifeLessons #CherishedMemories #EmotionalSupport #GuidanceAndLove #MortalityReflections #BookInspiration #HeartfeltNarrative #LegacyOfLove #LifeImpact #FamilyLegacy #Bookworm #ReflectionsOnLife #LifeTransitions #LoveAndSupport #MentalHealthAwareness

#ThoughtfulThursday Did you know that Ciara and Russell Wilson wrote a children's book? "Why Not You" is a encouraging book that ignites children to consider the importance and possibility of pursing their dreams. One of the things parents will love about this book is the authors' pragmatic message of how dreams don't come easy, but they are worth the effort! David McBride's book "The Nature of Honour" is now available for pre-order. Pre-purchasing this book will help David and his family as he faces persecution for blowing the whistle on extra-judiciary executions that were carried out while politicians and commanders failed to identify and correct troop level actions as they developed over decades of frontline fighting as our special forces units. It is great to see that the Government today is taking corrective measures to address ADF culture, and seeking to get the USA to drop charges against Julian Assange. The obvious question to me is: why is the government fighting to get Julian released, and yet continue to prosecute David for a similar disclosure of government failures?
Asking all my friends and supporters to please pre-order a copy of my life story The Nature of Honour, on the Penguin website below. It deals with my convict ancestors, boarding school, Sandhurst and many other humourous anecdotes. I think you’ll enjoy it. Let’s make it a bestseller! https://lnkd.in/gx7c_S7P

Just finished reading the book "The Happiest Man on Earth- The Beautiful Life of an Auschwitz Survivor" by Eddie Jaku A very very heartwarming book! The book will change the way you look at life. Throughout the book, I could only be grateful for my life, isn't that the most amazing thing a book can do to you? Here are a few things from the book that stayed with me- - Even in the toughest of the circumstances, some people held on to their kindness when it was easy to turn into an animal and hate, even if it costed them their own lives. It is the most important virtue one can have. A little act of kindness can build someone's life. Be kind, make the world a better place. - Family (and true friends) matters the most ❤ (Spoiler: The chapter about hugging your mother will make you cry) - When there is life, there is hope. Do not ever give up! - Love is the biggest gift you can give somebody and receive - Share your story. Sometimes you're so hurt that you still live in pain and don't talk about it. But it's good to come out in the open, to give hope to million of others who might have gone through it. And here are a few lines which the man tried to live by and is a timeless piece of wisdom. "May you have lots of love to share Lots of good health to spare And lots of good friends who care" #books #bookreview #happiness

I am still processing this incredible book. I read this as part of research, but it quickly became so much more... more powerful, more profound, more moving, more insightful, more and more of everything. It's a short book, but one that cannot be read in a short time because every page needs to be processed; its knowledge needs to be absorbed. And I mean that in the most wonderfully complimentary way. This little book will be re-read every few years for guidance and as a reminder of its lessons. Everyone should read this book! • “In truth, without some familiarity with sorrow, we do not mature as men and women. It is the broken heart, the part that knows sorrow, that is capable of genuine love. The heart familiar with loss is able to recognize "a still deeper grief... a sadness at the very heart of things" that binds us with the world. Without this awareness and willingness to be shaped by life, we remain caught in the adolescent strategies of avoidance and heroic striving.” (The Wild Edge of Sorrow: Francis Weller)
