What if you just didn’t? Field leadership is often stuck between a rock and a hard place. I see you caught between corporate initiatives and a dwindling store team. You’re probably working double shifts to get the job done. But what if you didn’t? I’m not saying don’t take pride in your job. I’m saying “Do your best and leave the rest”. I believe it’s time for corporate expectations to calibrate with the reality of the field. Honestly, I think it’s the only way they will be able to retain what talent they have remaining on their leadership teams. #retail #retailleadership #greatresignation

Agency Development Manager @ Colonial Life Assisting companies in enhancing their benefit offerings at no cost!
As a leader, it's important to trust in the capacity of your team to realize your vision. Benjamin Zander once said, 'One of the characterizes of a leader is that he doesn't doubt for a moment that the capacity of the people he's leading to realize whatever he's dreaming.' In my experience, this rings true. While there have been moments where I've had to jump in and help, I've found that trusting my team to execute the plan leads to greater success. Looking back, I'm proud that my team consistently felt empowered to do their best work under my leadership, knowing that I was there to support them if needed. I know that in my next role, people leader or individual contributor, I know that I will keep these practices in place and empower those around me to do the best they can. #leadership #teamwork #trust #opentowork

01/05/2024: Leadership is an essential element of any career or business. It is the driving force behind a productive and happy work environment. Good leaders, whether in management or among employees, set the tone for workplace culture. Without them, a business can struggle to reach its full potential. In one of my early leadership roles, I found myself managing a team of almost 30 direct reports. I thought my biggest challenge would be how to lead such a big team. Little did I know that a few weeks later, we would be thrown into a major reorg. Cutting cost meant we also had to reduce headcount. By a lot. I learned more about leadership over the next few months than any book or course could ever teach me. Everyone on the team asked me what I thought they should do. And I told everyone the same thing: I don’t know. But I do know that the sooner you find the answer, the better chance we have of making it happen. For some, that meant leaving the company. For others, it meant finding a completely different role in the company. For many, it meant staying on in a new version of the team. In the end we got through the reorg without any lay offs. Some actually found roles they enjoyed more as a result. The biggest lesson for me was that even as a leader you won’t always be able to tell people what they should do. But you can still help them figure it out. #change #leadership #reorganization Artwork: Rearranging the chairs. By Midjourney

#culture #organizationalculture #respectforpeople #values #dna Why I think so because in any set up, wonderful people of values, having integrity, intelligence, leadership abilities but they get spoiled as the system makes them obsolete as they don’t compromise on their values, for them Nation/Organisation/Family Name/Character comes first, these people don’t get swayed by the freebies, bribes, untimely promotions . But in today’s world the number of these type people are getting reduced & percentage is very less as the system does not allow such people to grow or take up leadership positions. What do you Say? What's one of the top reasons people leave their jobs? According to Happeo, about 75% quit because of their leaders. And a staggering 79% of the time, it's due to a lack of appreciation. Tina Gaddes, our National Sales Team Leader, agrees that leadership has a significant impact on staff retention. "True leadership is about lifting your team up with you," says Tina. "In this current complex candidate market, authentic and compassionate leadership goes a long way in retaining talent." So, do you agree with Tina? What's one thing you think leaders can do to boost retention? Let us know in the comments below! #staffretention #staffturnover #findstaff #intoworkaustralia
