Planned construction datasets influence Big Tech's data center construction. In today’s digital age, the demand for data centers has skyrocketed as technology giants and online service providers strive to meet the ever-growing needs of a data-driven world. These massive facilities house the servers and infrastructure necessary to store, process and deliver vast amounts of digital information. However, the expansion of data center infrastructure is not a haphazard process. Big Tech companies rely on meticulous planning and strategic decision making to ensure their data centers are in the right place at the right time. The biggest name in warehouse is making a $25 billion bet on data centers. Prologis' chief investment officer said the company plans to invest $8 billion over the next 5 years developing about 20 properties—and they could have 100 in the future. Data centers have been more popular than ever among real estate investors of late because of the rise of artificial intelligence, as 2023 set a record in space leased and rents skyrocketing. Prologis sees its warehouses as ripe for conversion, because of their "squat footprints" and close proximity to the lines and equipment necessary to supply the massive amounts of power required to run a data center. #realestate #datacenters

Thank you Data Center Knowledge for publishing my article about quality being key to meeting demanding schedules in the current data center construction boom! 👷♂️ 🤝 👷♀️ As I write in the article, to meet the rising demands for the future of compute, we must rethink how we approach quality in data center construction. We need a system that can guide the next generation of workers through the necessary work process so that each step of a work procedure is crystal clear, and provide real-time transparency of construction quality and progress visibility down to every weld, bolt, and electrical termination. I would love to hear your feedback on the article in the comments below or through DM. Cumulus #workdoneright
