The #Austrian Data Protection Authority (#DPA) ruled on a case where a gynecologist publicly responded to a negative review by disclosing the patient's diagnosis of a vaginal infection. The DPA found this to be a violation of GDPR, specifically regarding processing sensitive health data without proper justification, and failing to adhere to principles of purpose limitation and data minimization. A fine of €10,000 was issued. The decision's penalty amount is under review at the Federal Administrative Court.
