The Good Lives Model talks about how our culture overidentifies with avoidant goals rather than approach goals. Ultimately reinforcing through punishment the very things we do not want, while limiting time and attention on what we hope to achieve. Punishment is an avoidant goal. Discipline is an approach goal. The former reinforces bad behaviors and the latter reinforces development and growth. Which do you choose?

So, its a wrap for all of us at #EnvisionIndia now for #2023. Taking this moment to thank our treasured Customer partners and incredible cross-functional Teams, as we ended the year on a high yet again. The much-cherished EN-156, 3.3 MW #WindTurbine broke another record with 3 GW in orders for CY'2023, garnering preference from 15 domestic & foreign #IPPs operating in India by now. The overall order book for this #WTG in India alone has touched a milestone of 5.5 GW, out of which 2 GW is already #manufactured. With a right product suited to #Indian climatic conditions, solutions focussed Teams and mandate of #localization from Leadership, we at #Envision are determined to set the bar even higher in #2024, contributing our bit to India's #energytransition. Contrary to all above positives, in the festive season over the last couple of months and losing more often in battles with with my #sweettooth - has led to waistline gains with 3-4 extra Kgs - its high time to be back on track. Never been a fan of #NewYearResolutions and were never needed either - probably this time its time to #recalibrate to my usual disciplinary self from tomorrow morning - as all #Gains are not positive :-) Meanwhile, greeting everyone here and your families a "Very Happy New Year -2024" in advance. A bad environment or culture affects you personally and hurts your reputation as a leader if you don't do something about it. I think you have to 1st try to fix or change the culture, and if that can't be done. The company fit probably doesn't equal your goals and/or beliefs.#culturefirst

The PNG Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative is a big step forward for Papua New Guineans to be able to see for themselves that the nation is getting a fair deal from the wealth that's being created from their minerals and energy resources. I've written a couple of times about the importance of EITI. Here's a post that I wrote almost a year ago, to try to bring EITI to the attention of President Biden and beg/goad/cajole/whatever it takes to get him to re-sign the USA back up to the EITI initiative, for the sake of Papua New Guineans - https://lnkd.in/gM3PYMR6. And here's another post which acknowledges that aid is nice, but trade (via the USA signing up to the EITI) is better - https://lnkd.in/gTs4W84k . So, it's good to see that it EITI is moving forward in PNG, hopefully with full US support. It will be interest to watch how this plays out.

Reaching Case Management and Utilization Management goals can be overwhelming, especially for organizations undergoing transformation. It is hard to address all gaps identified by root cause analysis at the same time.
