At Danone, we are proud to celebrate what connects us all: the food we eat. The planet we share. And the love that brings us together.
As a company, we have a strong role to play to move the needle around inclusion. It is up to us to create workplaces that are a safe space to all, places in which everyone feels valued and respected.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core parts of our DNA. It is a commitment that is embedded in everything we do.
We pride ourselves on building a culture of respect that is inclusive of all: our DEI policy defines the framework for an inclusive workforce and our HOPE values, Danone behaviors and Danoners walking the talk make it an everyday reality.
Let’s strive to cultivate acceptance and tolerance, eliminating discrimination. Let’s build spaces where everyone can embrace their full authentic selves and bring all aspects of their identity to work. Let’s be a part of the change that we want to see in the world.

It's Pride Month - a time to celebrate our Rainbow communities and allies, recognizing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all facets of work and life.
At Unilever, we believe that everyone deserves to bring their authentic selves to work and to feel valued, respected, and included. Our diverse workforce is our greatest strength, driving innovation, creativity, and a deeper connection with the communities we serve.
Listening and understanding is really important - It's okay to feel awkward or uncertain in conversations about inclusion. Sometimes in our desire not to say the wrong thing, we shy away from conversations or people. But the only way to deepen our understanding is to ask questions, listen to stories. What matters is our willingness to learn and grow.
By embracing these dialogues, we can create a more inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. There's always more work to be done, but I am proud to be part of an ecosystem that is working towards a future where everyone can live with pride.

🚴🏻♀️ Is #diversity an enabler of an organisation's #performance ? YES !
Personally coming from a diverse family, I have naturally been raised in what I consider a rich, varied, and fulfilling environment. 💜
👨👩👧👦 As a mum of 3 kids today, diversity does not resonate as a choice to me, but feels like #evidence.
👩🏻💻 However in the #workplace , things are often not that simple.
Diversity is not obvious for everyone yet: even if it is a #fact, inclusion is not always understood or envisioned as a #choice .
🤝 However, #leaders should definitely consider how to better support their employees.
When discussing recently with my ESCP Business School#phd classmate Paméla Chin Foo who works on this topic, she highlighted a key insight: being openly and purposefully inclusive fosters #trust.
When I know you better, I trust you more and we are likely going to work better together.
😌 But to know you better, you need to feel #safe and be yourself, no matter the diversity in all its forms, be it based on gender, age, physical and mental abilities, language, religion, or any other layer of diversity.
This is the reason why I reposted this testimony shared by former colleagues of Danone, a forerunner company in this area.
If you want to deep dive, in comment I suggest an article from McKinsey & Company detailing the key domains in which #inclusion and #diversity can significantly affect an organisation’s overall #performance:
1️⃣ Winning #talent 🔥
2️⃣ Improving the quality of #decisionmaking 🎬
3️⃣ Increasing #customer insight and #innovation 🛍️
4️⃣ Driving employee #motivation and #satisfaction 📉
5️⃣ Improving a company’s global #image and license to operate ✨

💪 Diversity is a fact. Inclusion is a choice. 💪
Danone is celebrating its "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Week" 🚀
Those are not just buzzwords – they're at the core of our values. Here's why we're so passionate about it:
1️⃣ Innovation: Diverse teams bring a wide range of ideas, experiences, and viewpoints to the table, sparking innovation and problem-solving. 📈
2️⃣ Creativity: Different backgrounds and perspectives fuel creativity and lead to more unique and engaging solutions. 💡
3️⃣ Empowerment: In an inclusive environment, everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential, contributing their best to our collective success. 👊
Not a surprise that enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion in any organization increases the level of performance!
Let's honor our differences and promote greater equity and inclusion!🌈✨
If you take a moment to pause, and reflect, is your organisation’s inclusion, diversity and equity (IDE) strategy truly meaningful? Personally I think any business, or person, who thinks they are "okay" probably isn't, there's always more we can do to drive inclusion. But worryingly, we’re seeing some businesses deprioritising their strategy altogether when faced with other pressing boardroom challenges. 💬📈
Speaking to Caroline Rhodes, Global HRD Learning & Inclusion at Diageo, who are leaders in advocating for and actioning IDE across their business, she believes that Diageo recognises their impact “on communities and society, and the role we can play in advocating for and championing change”.

We're an inclusive company. Are we? Do we do enough to make everyone feel good at a workplace?
I hope your answer to the question is YES. My answer was "it depends" and/or "I don't know". During LEAD Network annual conference I realized how wide a topic diversity, equity and inclusivity is. I also came to a conclusion that we need to listen to our employees and pick our battles together. It's not possible to do everything at once. It's not enough that HR drives DE&I. It's a business imperative. Without the leadership buy-in, we won't get far. DE&I needs to be a part of leaders' action plan. We've heard about Reckitt inclusion boards which are chaired by the general managers of the respective markets. What an amazing idea! 👏
Thank you, PepsiCo team, for the conversations, inspirations and the time we spent together. I'm glad that we're on this inclusive journey together.

Another fantastic Diversity & Inclusion in Grocery this year so a huge thank you to everyone involved with bringing our industry together again to catapult inclusion forward in our industry.
🙌 The highlight of the day came in the opening remarks delivered so impactfully by Melissa Poulton 🏳️⚧️ and Keith Black Their words were a huge show of support for trans and non-binary colleagues within our industry following the continued barrage of attacks from those in positions who should be doing the exact opposite.
🤝 Today, over 1600 industry professionals united to collaborate. The power of collective action cannot be underestimated. When we come together, we amplify our impact and pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive industry.
🗺️ Inclusion is a continuous journey, an ongoing effort to change hearts and minds of those that mignt not currently understand what we are all so passionate about, and more importantly WHY it just makes sense for business.
🤔 What steps could you take today to promote diversity and inclusion in your industry?

One of my favourite things about Unilever is its high level of commitment to empowering its people.
But what exactly does empowerment entail?
For me, there are multiple dimensions to this. It starts with the profound belief that the organization has in your abilities, sometimes even before you fully believe in yourself. Then, it's about the trust vested in you to exercise due diligence in every scenario and make decisions that best serve the interests of the company. And lastly, it's about the organization standing behind your choices and affording them the space to unfold.
At Unilever, empowerment isn’t just a buzzword. It is the cornerstone of our culture and I see it playing out every day and everywhere.
