Today is my last day with the team at Help Scout 👋🏼
As I look back on an incredible 18 months with the Talent Team, People org, and all the Hiring Managers and Interviewers, I can't help but think about what I've learned with this fantastic group of people.
Being a Recruiter in North America from 2020 to 2023 was a roller coaster. Some days, the pressure was on with job openings piling up that needed to be filled immediately. On others, the challenge was to make an impact despite low recruiting volumes.
I've got a lot to share, but I'll focus on 3 key lessons I'm carrying forward:
❤️ 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁: Learning to speak openly and warmly is something I'll carry with me, no matter where I go. Being thoughtful with candidates and compassionate with team members is not just good manners; it's good business.
🎯 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱: The skill of zeroing in on what really matters will be invaluable as I step into a new work culture. Despite the noise, it's crucial to focus on what truly counts.
🌱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲: The tech world is constantly changing, and so must we be. My ability to adapt swiftly and balance strategy and operations will continue to be my asset, especially in fluctuating markets.
To everyone at Help Scout, thank you for making me better in so many ways. While the last year has had its tough spots for many of us, it's in these times that the best in us shines through.
Welcome aboard, Sara! 🚀
