Rich recently took the campaign to Stamford, CT. By all accounts, Stamford is growing and thriving. When we think about the change we hope to see in this country, it’s easy to look past the communities that are doing well. In fact, even within these communities, a sense of apathy can begin to creep in. For communities like this, the question becomes, is the community working for all of us or just some of us? But what will the Entertainment Capital of the World look like in 2035? Imagine a city where AI-driven smart buildings powered by PoE technology create energy-efficient, green, and self-sustaining environments. Picture casinos, convention centers, children’s hospitals, hotels, resorts, commercial and residential properties, art museums, and EV CHARGING DISTRICTS all contributing to a sustainable and vibrant urban landscape. Can Las Vegas achieve this transformation in the coming years? Is the city prepared to embrace microgrids? How will Las Vegas harness its abundant solar power, heat, and steam energy to combat the extreme temperatures and maximize its renewable energy potential? Addressing homelessness with innovative strategies is crucial. Instead of criminalizing the homeless for selling bottled water to tourists in the sweltering heat, could we incentivize them to sustain themselves legally and transition out of the tunnels? Can the City of Las Vegas analyze what Atlanta Mayor - Andre Dickens is doing with shipping containers for permanent housing for the homeless in the metro Atlanta area? https://lnkd.in/egYM5uZQ Unorthodox thinking and strategies will be essential to move Las Vegas forward and tackle the homelessness crisis.
