The World Beer Cup is over and that was a blast to judge with so many experts! Here are some stats worth sharing: - 329 medals awarded out of 9300 entries gives you 3.5% chances of success. - 19 countries out of 50 got medals - 66 medals were awarded to countries outside of USA. That’s 79.9% of the medals for USA. - Only 1 of the 110 categories had no gold: Belgian style Ale or French Style Ale - The Juicy/Hazy IPA category had 326 entries giving you a probably for medal of 0.92% - The South German-Style Bernsteinfarbenes Weizen category only had 14 entries giving you 21% chances of medal. - Germany collected 12 medals, all in German classic styles - Italy brews the best English Ale, Netherland brews the best Belgian Dubbel and Mexico brews the best Kolsch - Medal split: Asia: 14 Europe: 18 South America: 9 Middle America: 4 North America: 280 Oceania: 4 Africa: 0 Bottom line and beyond statistics, if you want to win: #1. You must participate #2. You must send a fantastic beer with the highest freshness potential #3. You need to put it in the right category

Guinness, the London bus and me. I was in London’s Piccadilly meeting up with friends when a bus passed me. I was struck – not by the bus 😊, but by the Guinness ad running down its side. It got me thinking and several thoughts came piercing through my consciousness: Guinness has been brewed since 1759. It is an instantly recognisable product. Most of us have tried at least once. And yet, they still need to advertise. Why? Because they need to constantly remind us, across as many marketing channels as possible, that they still exist. Crucially, they need to maintain their position in a very competitive market. So it would follow that, if the Guinness brand needs to keep promoting itself, then surely, we all need to do the same. Before you all ask; yes, I did have a great time and; yes, I did drink some Guinness! Thank you for reading. Enjoy your day. #LeadGeneration #RelationshipBuilding #MarketingCommunication

this is how it should be for fans who attend games in-person, but also what's so very wrong with our consumption habits. on one side, attending games has become pretty expensive after you calculate tickets, parking, concessions and merchandise. so it's good to see events and venues making concessions somewhat affordable. in this case, an insanely good deal! and shout out to another Georgia venue for keeping it affordable for fans. (The Masters) on the other hand, here's another example of making food, that has little to no nutritional value, incredibly cheap for consumers, with limited healthy options available. (I've never been to the facility, so I'm assuming healthy options are limited like the majority of venues I have attended across the rest of the country.) so torn on how to feel about this....
This is $20 worth of food at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta 🌭

Here’s some recent insights from Diageo as to how Guinness 0.0% and the Six Nations Rugby Championship are becoming a soon to be perfect combo 👉 👀 32% of Six Nations fans claimed they have tried Guinness 0.0% for the first time due to the sponsorship of the Six Nations. 🤝 55% claimed they would consider purchasing Guinness in the future. 📈 Ireland vs England in 2023 saw 0.0% sales increase by 400% compared vs sales at the previous years game. 🤩 Only three years after launch, 4% of all volume brewed at the St James Gate brewery is Guinness 0.0%. An exceptional example of alibi marketing from the Guinness team and one, I hope, that through greater awareness, encourages responsible drinking during game days. With these stats, it's on the right track. 🤜 https://lnkd.in/ehEWHBrC

I make no apologies. The following piece has been posted on here before. However, like almost everyone else, I need to be regularly reminded of the message. Before you all ask, yes, I did have jolly time with my friends and; yes, I did drink some Guinness! Thank you for reading. Enjoy your day. #LeadGeneration #RelationshipBuilding #MarketingCommunication
