Sustainable finance journalist with a growing interest in how real-economy companies are meeting the challenges of the transition
"So, if the answer to the question ‘who decides whether investors can pursue sustainability objectives?’ is ‘the ultimate owners of the capital’, then the industry has to be prepared for the possibility that, while it may secure that mandate, it may also lose it." I couldn't find just one quote or point that I wanted to highlight from this article, so I've stuck five below. There's more on all of them in the article (link in comments) that's just been published in Investment & Pensions Europe (IPE). I know lots of people will have strong views on this, so DM me if you'd like to discuss.

We’ve got some exciting news to share. At PfP Capital, social impact is at our core. We recycle profits ‘for good’ within the Places for People Group to help deliver their social impact objectives as a leading social enterprise. This is why we’re ecstatic to have been shortlisted for the Best Place-Based Impact Award at the @Pensions for Purpose awards. Our entry is based on an article on ‘Fixing housing finance’ written by @PfP Capital’s Finance & Investment Director John Tatham, originally published in the TheMJ (https://lnkd.in/egCb76Gf). Being shortlisted for this award highlights our role in providing a market-leading, holistic approach to placemaking and ESG to deliver quality homes in communities that need them most, as supported by our range of prestigious investors. We look forward to hearing the finalists announced on 21 November. #PlaceBasedImpact #ImpactInvestment #PensionsforPurpose #P4Pawards
