What is #luxury?
You'll find that the term is used left and right. Is ''affordable luxury'' still luxurious? Or is that term a contradictio in terminis?
Is luxury something you desire but don't need?
To me, the word 💫 ''luxury'' is about craftsmanship 🔨 , time ⌛ , respect 🙏 , space 😍 , a feeling that should be pleasant, without guilt, without someone else suffering.
It is beyond me that some luxury brands still think it is okay to kill an animal for its fur 😢 . Or kill an exotic animal, like a crocodile or snake, for its skin.
I would never want to own anything from a brand that thinks like this. ⛔
But, like everything we consume, it starts with the consumer. 😃
I am very passionate about 🐊 animals 🐍 and wonder what you think: is it really a luxury to kill a crocodile for its skin?
For me, luxury is 🤗 respect.
My wish for my own #jewelry and #watchindustry is to renounce using fur or exotic skin for products. (and I hope other industries will follow)
More and more people care about respect for nature, the planet, humans, and animals. Clients and consumers CARE about what companies value.
PETA recently took action:
In a statement, PETA vice president for Europe, Mimi Bekhechi, said: “It is high time Hermès stopped turning its nose up at animal rights – an issue of major importance to today’s consumers, who reject industries that confine and torture animals''. (source FashionUnited)
