Consider this:
Earth is like our greatest creditor.
This means we need to pay back what we borrow to replenish the funds and allow earth to continue to give to us.
Since the 1970s humans & companies have "borrowed" more and more without paying back appropriately, overshooting what earth can provide sooner and sooner - this is Earth Overshoot Day. This day in 2023 is today, August 2nd, only a bit more than half way through the year, which means we are using almost twice as many resources as earth can provide sustainability long-term,.
Our line of credit will soon run dry.
This is why we need to seriously rethink how we do business.
How do we give back (pay back our loans)?
What can your business do to move Earth Overshoot Day later into the year, year-over-year?
We have many incredible companies & corporations who are already making progress.

Today, August 2nd, marks Earth Overshoot Day, meaning that human demand for ecosystem resources and services has exceeded that of what our planet can provide.
We have not lived within Earth's means since the 1970s. We need positive, impactful change from both individuals and businesses to create regenerative economic systems across the globe. In order to preserve the future of humanity and business, we have to commit to sustainable transformation and start aligning with #planetaryboundaries.
