One of our Eagleford Basin Crews working in the Three Rivers, TX area. Installing 5300' of 8" Steel & 4300' of 6" Flexsteel liquid line with associated launcher/receiver and interconnect piping. It was GREAT to see/visit our Crossfire Aggregate Crews!! Thank You Cody!! #eagleford #oilandgas #pipeline #construction #pipelineconstruction

* Polished Rod: https://lnkd.in/drvQvnWy The minimum polished rod load (MPRL), which represents the SV load minus the maximum downstroke dynamic load and is found on the dynamometer card as the minimum load during the cycle. Sucker-Rod Pumping System Components and Their Operation Abstract: The chapter presents a thorough review of the different elements of the sucker-rod pumping system and includes detailed descriptions of the individual parts. Starting from the well bottom, the different types of subsurface pumps are discussed first. The structural parts, operational principles, and different features of standard and special pumps are explained. Ancillary downhole equipment such as tubing anchors are covered also. The available types of downhole gas separators are introduced and their applications are detailed. The different types of sucker rods, their material, and their operational features are described next. Available procedures for designing tapered rod string are detailed and compared; the evaluation and prevention of rod string failures is presented. The constructional and operational details of available sucker-rod pumping units are described, based on their geometry; detailed procedures are presented for the calculation of their kinematic parameters. At the end of the chapter, gear reducers and the different types of prime movers used in the oilfield are covered.

American Pipeline Solutions was called in by a Northern Virginia utility company that was experiencing reduced flows in a relatively new HDPE force main. Based on the location of the main and method of installation our team believed the contractor who installed the line had accidentally let some debris get into the pipe. By tracking our pigs, we were able to locate the debris and sure enough we found this rock that was over half the diameter of the pipe!! #pipelines #pipelinemanagement #pigging

My experience with onshore pipelines brings back memories of working with transmission lines. However, the task of working on pylons with spans ranging from 350m to 600m is incomparable to laying 1km of pipeline. Pylon needs only foundation but for the pipeling, excavation is the major work. Excavtion work for trenching and laying the pipe is extensive, and encountering rock or boulders during HDD or pipe jacking only complicates matters further. Plus can you imagine laying the pipe on hilly area??..Managing these unexpected costs is essential to prevent project failure.

This week, an English man (Richard Lane) and an Irish man (Mark Smith) have been in Scotland and Wales – now there’s a joke in there somewhere other than the fact I’ve been nowhere. Basically, Paddy and Rich have been here there and everywhere mostly talking about properly engineering wells for open loop ground source heating projects. I made the really big mistake of asking what ‘properly engineering’ looks like. I wasn’t really interested. And you know that thing that happens when you say something and immediately regret it? Yeah. That happened. Because cue passionate and heated lecture about verticality, discharging and yields. So, just in case any of you Drifters need to know … one of the keys to the success of an open loop installation isn’t to just focus on your abstraction well, but your reinjection well as well (that’s too many wells). It’s about drilling in a straight line, maintaining critical verticality, it’s about the quality of the installation and ensuring care is taken when drilling to maximise yield. But it’s also about the potential for discharge and that you plan carefully to ensure the reinjection well is capable of taking the maximum volume of water back into the aquifer. Really wish I’d never asked – but at least they know what they are talking about, even if it is all…boring… And if you need boreholes planning and drilling perfectly, whether for water, ground source heat or any other reason, you know what to do. https://lnkd.in/eghWhi3M #GSHP #OpenLoop #Geothermal #Boreholes #WaterWells #AbstractionWell #Yawning #DrillingEngineering #GroundSourceHeat

What is the application of LSAW pipe? It has been widely applied in the oil and gas pipelines, specially required large diameter and thick wall pipe with high strength and long distance. Meanwhile in construction of structure that need tough strength, water treatment, thermal industry, bridge building, etc
