#CRMgeothermalStudents: Samuele Frigo, a Master's student from the Universität Greifswald, has characterised the geothermal system in fractured crystalline rocks at United Downs (Cornwall, UK). In collaboration with Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam - German Research Centre GFZ and the CRM-geothermal project, his study uses Thermal-Hydraulic-Chemical modelling and aims to contribute to the development of a pilot plant (operated by Cornish Lithium Plc) for the co-production of #lithium and #geothermal energy from a low-salinity crystalline reservoir. Today the CRM-geothermal project was represented at a clustering event dedicated to responsible mining and Social License to Operate (#SLO)! It was held in Mechelen, Belgium, organised by the Cluster Hub projects LITHOS, Horizon Europe ENICON, CICERO Project, Horizon Europe EXCEED, and Horizon Europe AVANTIS. Interesting presentations, discussions, and ideas to move forward with innovative approaches in sustainable resource management in Europe and worldwide! 🍃 🌍
