Supporting underserved communities always gives reason to celebrate! Juneteenth marks the moment in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans were finally told they were free. While our nation has come a long way since then, there is no doubt that we are still deep in the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice. I’m very proud of The Clayco Foundation for its efforts to support historically disenfranchised communities with the Juneteenth Fund. We’re off to another successful start this year, raising $248,750 from corporate sponsors and subcontractors and over $43,500 from employee contributions! The fund aims to strengthen the vitality of socio-economically disadvantaged groups—and you still have time to participate! Join us for our “Flourishing Forward” event this Saturday, June 15th, at the Geraghty in Chicago. All proceeds will go to the Juneteenth Fund and deserving non-profits, and if you can’t stop by, you can still purchase a ticket or become a sponsor! Our team takes the time to identify the perfect recipients to use this funding, and I’m thrilled to announce that this year, donations will go to TGiMovement, Tools Up Foundation, INC, Servants For Hope, Beyond Care, Liv Recovery Sober Living, YOUNG VOICES WITH ACTION, and the Next Level Boys Academy.
