A month has passed since we gathered 150 industry leaders for the European Ethical Agency Summit in Amsterdam to convene and share solutions to transform the industry into a force for climate action. It was an incredible event, and we have so much knowledge and inspiration to share with you all in the coming weeks! What you might not know from social media only, is that our Founder Lucy von Sturmer invited the team behind The Hummus Academy to join on stage and share their insights on advocacy, activism and effectiveness in driving change. More than hummus (which we all enjoyed on the night) this project acts as a container for imagination and invitation - a future of peace, security, and humanity for all. Climate justice IS social justice, and wherever we can, we will continue to use our platform to champion a future that is just and regenerative for all. “Generally laughable, even outside of sustainability circles.” What do you think about Ogilvy's win at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for its campaign for The Coca-Cola Company, given the company’s production of single-use plastics 😅 Word from our Founder in this piece by Kathryn Lundstrom below - "The awards categories at Cannes haven’t developed. They still have very vague, general definitions of what impact is and the festival has become a playground to legitimize business as usual.” What are your thoughts? 👇 https://lnkd.in/eG4swn25

At London Climate Action Week we hosted a SOLD OUT event on the power of creativity to drive environmental action forward, with a focus on the power of female leadership from across the creative sector. The event ended with conclusions that as creatives, we have an opportunity and a responsibility to: 👉 Collaborate across sectors (connect the dots) 👉 Tell stories of the future we want to see (shape culture) 👉 Communicate and amplify solutions (create desire) 👉 Give voice to underrepresented people (diversify leadership) 👉 Push for systemic change (not green capitalism) With thanks to our panelists Lucy Usher, UK Sustainability Lead at Oliver Agency, Phoebe Tickell Founder of Moral Imaginations and Imagination Activist, Liana Fricker, Founder of Inspiration Space Ioana Hardy - Marketing for Sustainability and Afsaneh Angelina Rafii, Editor in Chief at Icarus Complex Magazine Read the fantastic write up by Holly Arnold our Community Lead that brought this event together on the Hub 👉 https://lnkd.in/dFDRpxUv

Our Founder Lucy von Sturmer spoke to Marketing Beat today about the need for agencies to walk the talk on ethical behaviour by refusing to use their persuasive powers to greenwash and peddle false solutions. Honing in on Edelman's win for an award which demonstrated – on behalf of the logistics firm DP World – how freezer storage temperature can be upped from -17 to -15 degrees to improve sustainability, she said: "Edelman continues to represent the world’s most polluting clients in oil and gas who are directly responsible for the dangerous climate tipping point we are living in now.... “If they were serious about taking action on climate, they would stop legitimising and growing the business of fossil fuel clients while trying to ‘offset’ their image with sustainability initiatives that are more ‘tweaks to business as usual’ than genuine transformation." Like you, we were disappointed by what we saw coming out of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and know this industry can do SO much better! https://lnkd.in/e3mGzrCd
